How I Met Your Mother (s/CBS): Monday, September 20 at 8pm ET/PT (7pm CT, 9pm MT) ***Season 6 Premiere*** When Ted (Josh Radnor) and Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) argue about who has "dibs" on a hot girl, Ted realizes that she is there with Cindy (Rachel Bilson, The OC), a girl he previously dated who is also the roommate of his future wife. Meanwhile, Robin (Cobie Smulders) is heartbroken over Don, and Marshall () can't keep quiet about his desire to start a family.

Rules of Engagement (s/CBS): Monday, September 20 at 8:30pm ET/PT (7:30pm CT, 9:30pm MT) ***Season 5 Premiere*** In the fifth-season premiere, Jeff () and Audrey () are surprised by some news about their potential surrogate mother, Pam (guest star Jaime Pressly, ).

The Event (s/NBC): Monday, September 20 at 9pm ET/PT (8pm CT, 10pm MT) ***Series Premiere*** Sean Walker (Jason Ritter), stumbles into a national conspiracy after his girlfriend Leila (Sarah Roemer) mysteriously disappears from a Caribbean cruise. Elsewhere, President Elias Martinez (Blair Underwood) is scheduled to announce the release of a group of detainees led by Sophia Maguire (Laura Innes) — despite the disapproval of his Director of National Intelligence, Blake Sterling (Željko Ivanek). Their futures are on a collision course in a global conspiracy that could ultimately change the fate of mankind.

Chase (s/NBC): Monday, September 20 at 10pm ET/PT (9pm CT, 8pm MT) ***Series Premiere*** In the series premiere of Chase, cowboy boot-wearing U.S. Marshal Annie Frost (Kelli Giddish) is on the hunt for dangerous fugitive Mason Boyle (guest star Travis Fimmel The Experiment). The members of Frost’s elite team who help her anticipate Boyle’s moves and track him down include true American cowboy Jimmy Godfrey (Cole Hauser), intelligence specialist Marco Martinez (Amaury Nolasco), weapons/tactical specialist Daisy Ogbaa (Rose Rollins), and the newest member of the team, Luke Watson (Jesse Metcalfe).

The Biggest Loser (s/NBC): Tuesday, September 21 at 8pm ET/PT (7pm CT, 9pm MT) ***Season 10 Premiere*** Trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels along with host Alison Sweeney travel to seven cities in the premiere episode, with each trainer leading community fitness challenges like a one-mile race or a 500 step-up competition. In each of the seven cities – Detroit, , Portland, Atlanta, Phoenix, Oklahoma City and Boston – there will also be three contestant hopefuls competing in the challenges. The two candidates who complete their fitness challenge first win a spot at , while those who don’t make it will get a chance to vie for a spot on the show in a later episode. Plus, season eight winner Danny Cahill, season seven finalist Mike Morelli and season five finalist Mark Kruger pop by the ranch. Contestants hoping to make it on the ranch include a military wife and mother of five, a background vocalist for Beyoncé, a former college football player, and a retired swimsuit model.

Parenthood (s/NBC): Tuesday, September 21 at 10pm ET/PT (9pm CT, 8pm MT) Adam () offers an internship position to Sarah (Lauren Graham) at T&S Footwear. Meanwhile, Kristina (Monica Potter) helps Suze Lessing (Amanda Foreman) through her divorce by babysitting Noel (Nicholas Lobue). Julia () commits to a play date for Sydney (Savannah Paige Rae) that threatens her other friendships. Elsewhere, Jasmine (Joy Bryant) and Crosby (Dax Shepard) debate where Jabbar (Tyree Brown) should live when Jasmine takes a new job.

Undercovers (s/NBC): Wednesday, September 22 at 8pm ET/PT (7pm CT, 9pm MT) ***Series Premiere*** Outwardly, Steven Bloom (Boris Kodjoe, Soul Food) and his wife, Samantha (Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Bonekickers), are a typical married couple who own and operate a small catering company in LA. Secretly, the duo were two of the best spies the CIA had ever known, until they fell in love and retired. When fellow spy Leo Nash (Carter MacIntyre, American Heiress) goes missing, the Blooms are reinstated by agency liaison, Carlton Shaw (Gerald McRaney, Deadwood) to locate and rescue Nash. With assistance of CIA field agent Bill Hoyt (Ben Schwartz, Parks and Recreation) the pair is thrust back into the world of espionage, disguises and hand-to-hand combat.

Modern Family (s/ABC): Wednesday, September 22 at 9pm ET/PT (8pm CT, 10pm MT) ***Season 2 Premiere*** In the second-season premiere, Phil () reluctantly agrees to get rid of the Dunphy station wagon, which prompts a wave of nostalgia for the old car. Meanwhile, Cameron () enlists Jay's (Ed O'Neill) help when Mitchell () tries to build a princess castle for Lily; and Manny () asks a girl to come over to study.

Cougar Town (s/ABC): Wednesday, September 22 at 9:30pm ET/PT (8:30pm CT,10:30pm MT) ***Season 2 Premiere*** Jules ( ) finds an instant connection with her new shrink, Glenn (guest star Jennifer Aniston, , The Switch), until she discovers the unfortunate but hilarious truth about her method of treatment; Ellie () is jealous over Jules’ fondness for Glenn; a bet between Laurie () and Travis () leads to a sweet sibling-like moment; and Bobby (Brian Van Holt) acts out his frustrations that Jules and Grayson (Josh Hopkins) are dating.

The Whole Truth (s/ABC): Wednesday, September 22 at 10pm ET/PT (9pm CT, 8pm MT) ***Series Premiere*** Meet Jimmy Brogan (Rob Morrow) one of New York’s rising criminal defense attorneys and Kathryn Peale () a Deputy Bureau Chief in the District Attorney’s office. These two have been friends (but enemies in the courtroom) since their days at Yale Law School. In the series premiere, Jimmy and Kathryn face off in the courtroom about a high school history teacher and family man who’s for the rape and murder of a female student.

Community (s/NBC): Thursday, September 23 at 8pm ET/PT (7pm CT, 9pm MT) ***Season 2 Premiere*** As classes resume at Greendale Community College for the fall, the study group gathers to tackle this year’s big class, “Anthropology 101.” Television icon and multiple Emmy Award-winner Betty White (The Golden Girls) guest stars as the esteemed, but slightly unhinged anthropology professor, June Bauer. Jeff (Joel McHale) struggles to establish decorum with Britta (Gillian Jacobs) and Annie (Alison Brie) after the confusion that ensued when Britta professed her love for Jeff, and Jeff later shared a secret kiss with Annie. Meanwhile, Señor Chang (Ken Jeong) decides to enroll as a student at Greendale Community College so that he too can join the study group.

30 Rock (s/NBC): Thursday, September 23 at 8:30pm ET/PT (7:30pm CT, 9:30pm MT) ***Season 6 Premiere*** Determined to help Liz Lemon () keep a man for once, Jack Donaghy () meddles in her burgeoning relationship with Carol (guest star Matt Damon). At home, he also struggles to compromise with Avery (guest star Elizabeth Banks) as she redecorates his apartment. Meanwhile, Tracy Jordan () has trouble coming to grips with Kenneth Parcell’s (Jack McBrayer) termination as a Page while Jenna Maroney () becomes “TGS’s” newest producer.

Fringe (s/FOX):Thursday, September 23 at 9pm ET/PT (8pm CT, 10pm MT) ***Season 3 Premiere*** After the extraordinary turn of events that shockingly left an imprisoned Olivia (Anna Tory) “over there,” she fights to find her way home. Meanwhile, Peter (Joshua Jackson) and Walter (John Noble) try to move on with their lives unknowingly alongside alternate Olivia.

Hells Kitchen: Friday, September 24 at 8pm ET/PT/CT/MT ***Season 8 Premiere*** Chef Ramsay presents the opportunity of a for 16 new contestants who will battle it out for the grand prize of winning a head chef position at L.A. Market at the JW Marriott Hotel Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE and the opportunity to be the official spokesperson for Rosemount Estate Wines. After setting their eyes on the prize, Chef Ramsay challenges the Red and Blue Teams – women vs. men – to prepare their signature dishes. For the next challenge, Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto gives the chefs a lesson in sushi preparation, and Chef Ramsay asks the teams to prepare a platter of perfect sushi. The team that collectively impresses Chef Ramsay will embark on a day of pampering, while the losing team is left to clean the kitchen mess.

Extreme Makeover: Home Addition (s/ABC): Sunday, September 26 at 7pm ET/ PT (6pm CT, 8pm MT)***Special 2 hour Season 8 Premiere one hour earlier*** Ty Pennington and his design team, including new designers Xzibit and Jillian Harris, travel to Baltimore, Maryland, to surprise the students of Boys Hope/Girls Hope, a home that invites students from difficult and at-risk backgrounds to live in a safe environment that provides mentoring and an opportunity to give back to the community. The EM:HE team will build a dorm for the girls, who do not have a building, and will deliver the news LIVE! Adding to the excitement of the build is the participation of the kids from the Emmy Award-winning comedy Modern Family (Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould, Rico Rodriquez), actress Raven-Symoné, basketball superstar Shaquille O’Neal and music sensation Katy Perry.
