Keeping Healthy and safe

Leave of absence Amendments to the 2006 Regulations remove references to family holiday and extended leave The amendments make clear that head teachers may not grant any leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances. Please don’t book your holiday during term time Please know that moving forward, along with other local schools, we must follow guidance and fine families for taking time off for holidays in term time. Where families do not complete a Leave of Absence request form before they take time away from school, this becomes a safeguarding concern and we must refer the missing child/children to the Local Authority. Please make sure we know where your child is if they are not in school.

Relationship Policy Following updated guidance, our policy talks about teaching children in an age appropriate way, healthy friendships and relationships. We invite parents to view the policy on the school website and contact the Mayor’s table school if you have any questions or suggestions.
