The Kent County Football Association records show our existence in 1888, however The Football Association put our birth in 1885. What is not in dispute was that Kennington Football Club was the oldest junior club in Kent. Both the associations marked the fact and presented the club with illuminated Officials and stafF addresses to mark the achievement in 1988. President | Ray Lancaster Throughout most of the last century the club competed Chairman | Jon Lancaster in the local Ashford and District League where the Secretary | Kevin Hayden opposition was mainly drawn from village sides, Treasurer | Ray Lancaster together with a large number of military teams along Fixture Secretary | Kevin Hayden with sides representing strong railway connections. Committee Member | Bruno Freeman The Club took the decision to step up the pyramid into First Team Manager | Dan Scorer the prestigious Kent County League in the 1980’s. This Assistant Manager | Sam Fisher was an attempt to mix with stronger opposition, better First Team Coach | Ollie Finch playing conditions, and in turn, a higher standard of Goalkeeper Coach | Dan Cook officialdom both on and off the pitch. Strength and Conditioning Coach | The Club currently fields one senior team on a Saturday Louis Plumridge and one playing in the Premier Division of the local Sports Therapist | Natalie Jones Sunday League. -

D’Elboux Manuscripts Indexed Abstracts Scope The four volumes of monumental inscriptions and heraldic material, copied and supplemented by Mr R. H. D'Elboux in the 20th century, and published by the Kent FHS on microfiche sets 1756, 1757, 1758 & 1759. Much of the original material was collected in the 18th century by Filmer Southouse, John Thorpe, William Warren and Bryan Faussett. Arrangement Entries are arranged alphabetically, by heading ~ usually the name of a Kent parish, but if this is unknown or not applicable, two general puposes headings are used ('heraldry' & 'miscellaneous'). Each entry provides a detailed abstract of one page or loose-leaf sheet ~ some entries may include details from the first few lines of the following page. Each entry's heading includes a reference to the original page on microfiche, using the format noted below. Entries provide details of personal names (abbreviated forenames are expanded), relationships, dates and places ~ they do not include ranks (except for people only identified by rank), royalty, occupations, biographical details, verse, heraldic descriptions, sources or the names of authors. Entries are numbered, and these are used in the Surname Index starting on page 129.
