PERIQUITA RESERVA
For more than 150 years, this landmark wine from the southwestern coast of Portugal has been a welcome guest at the tables of discerning wine drinkers and an international ambassador for fine Portuguese wines. Created by J.M. da Fonseca in 1850 and trademarked in 1941, Periquita has the distinction of being the oldest Portuguese table wine brand.
Periquita Reserva is made with the Castelão grape, an indigenous variety that thrives in southern Portugal and, originally ushered into the public eye by J.M. da Fonseca, has become nearly synonymous with the highly regarded wines of this historic producer. It is blended with two other high quality native Portuguese varieties, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, representing the Periquita tradition
combined with a vision for the future.
