SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Zhor El Kamch is a track runner who got frustrated by the fact that she lacks a real finishing kick. In many Golden Leagues she would lead till the bell to finish outside the medals. Jos Hermens advised her to try the marathon.

She took his advise and succeeded the first time by winning the Marathon in a new Morrocan record. The wind made it a very though race which blew the light Zohr sometimes 2-3 metres towards the sidewalks. Her first comments were: "This was my first and my last marathon". Later the victory was sweeter than the pain and she ran her second marathon in Chicago 2004.

In Chicago she pulled halfway a muscle in her calf. She tried to finish the race which she did in a disappointing 2:52.
