The Centre for Southeast European Studies of the University of Graz is currently accepting applications for Visiting Fellows for the academic year 2016-7. The Centre provides research facilities for fellows, including a working place, access to the library and full participation in the activities of the center for a period of one semester (4 months, either October-January or March-June). Visiting fellows are expected to present their work in a research seminar, discuss their research informally with members of the center and contribute a working paper to the center¹s working paper series and write a contribution to the research blog of the centre. Visiting fellows are also encouraged to contribute to seminars, classes and other teaching and research activities of the center.

The Centre does not provide financial assistance, but will support applications to different scholarship programs for visiting scholars, including the Scholarship (http://www.oead.at/mach).

We are an interdisciplinary center at the University of Graz devoted to research and teaching on Southeastern Europe. The center reflects the broader focus of the University of Graz on Southeastern Europe and brings together researchers from different institutes and faculties working on the region. We also offer a Master Program in Southeast European Studies jointly with the and coordinate a doctoral program on Southeastern Europe. The focus of the center¹s activities is contemporary Southeastern Europe, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, , Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, , and Turkey. The centre has a strong research interest in former and Turkey, but will consider applications from scholars working on other regions and countries of Southeastern Europe.
