I have a photograph of him and his crew on board the ship, and have recently sent a copy to the Cardigan Heritage Centre. Mon Jun 2 09:17:38 2008

Rob Lewis I used to holiday every year in c1950-1965 with my parents, and in later years the highlight was mackeral fishing on the Dancer with Tom Bowen - one year we had to leave my aunt on for a few hours - Health and safety didn't even exist then!I have a cutting form Lloyds List announcing the loss of the Dancer on the rocks on the Gwbert side of the estuary, a very sad loss of a unique boat. I understand she was built for the Russians c 1910 - that accounted for her unique profile Thu Apr 24 16:40:04 2008

Robert James, London I have very clear memories of seeing the Dancer dressed overall taking visitors on trips around the bay in the 1960s. Is she a restoration project in someone's yard now? Mon Sep 3 15:13:59 2007

Celia Faulkner, Oxfordshire My great grandfather was the shipping agent for the SS St Tudwal - John Elias James. Wonderful to have a picture of her for the family history! 27 April 2012 Accessibility help Text only
