Over 2500 people benefit from 21 BYPL free Health Camps BYPL joins hands with CIIT to treat clubfoot in Delhi In July, BYPL organised 21 free health camps with NGO partners PHD Rural Development Foundation & Sofia As part of BSES Yamuna Power Limited Educational and Welfare Society. Free medical consultation and medicines were provided to 2582 people. (BYPL) CSR healthcare initiative, CEO Mr Prem R. Kumar presented a cheque of Rs 15 lakhs to Dr Santosh George, Director - Cure International Trust (CIIT) to support treatment of 150 children born with clubfoot. BYPL will support the club foot treatment of children at the CIIT clinic in Chacha Nehru Baal Chikitsa Hospital and at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital.

BYPL SASHAKT Tuition Centre opens in Yamuna Vihar On 18th June, BYPL launched its second Sashakt centre with NGO partner Sofia Educational and Welfare Society at Yamuna Vihar. This centre will provide free tuition to 100 students of classes IX and X and a second chance to 100 dropout students to complete their class X through open schooling. Mr Zafrul Islam Khan - Chairman, Delhi Minorities Commission inaugurated the centre in presence of BYPL team led by Mr Brajesh Kumar - Head Business, Mr Sitaram - Yamuna Vihar Division Head, Mr Arvind Choudhary - Yamuna Vihar Business Manager, Ms Megha Anand - Yamuna Vihar Customer Care Officer and Mr Brajesh Ranjan - Customer Care along with CSR team. BYPL Team and MSK instructors meet On 31st July 2019, nine Mahila Shiksha Kendra (MSK) instructors from Chandni Chowk division met with BYPL team led by Mr Ageet Kumar - Business Manager and Ms Ekta Singh - Customer Care Officer. The MSK instructors were briefed about various ongoing BYPL schemes and initiatives. They were advised to keep in touch with them for any electricity related concerns in their area.

Independence Day Celebrations at Mahila Shiksha Kendra CSR Newsletter Over 200 students empowered through SURAKSHA Self Defence training SEPTEMBER 2019 A ten day self defence training was organised by BYPL CSR for 211 students of Dr Sampoornanand Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Yamuna Vihar. Trainers from Delhi Police Special Unit for Women and Children(SPUWAC) conducted the life skill training for the students. On completion of training certificates were distributed to the school children in presence of school authorities, NGO representatives, Delhi Police SPUWAC team and BYPL BYPL conducts SURAKSHA Fire and Electrical safety awareness programme Yamuna Vihar team led by Business Manager Arvind in Daryaganj & Yamuna Vihar Choudhary, O&M R.S Sharma and CCO. In the first phase of Suraksha - Safe Delhi programme, participants were briefed about various aspects of electrical and fire safety followed bv demonstration of fire extinguisher usage. The session concluded with participants receiving certificate in presence of Division chiefs and Business teams. In Phase 2 of the programme subsequently, BYPL CSR will donate 2 fire extinguishers to be installed at the various places of worship for public safety. On 25th November, the children were provided with their certificates in presence of Delhi Police SPUWAC team and BYPL Yamuna Vihar team - Business Head (Central) Nihal Meena, Division Chief Nirakar Roy, Business Manager Swarup Mukhuty and CCO Navita Gautam.

BYPL financial literacy and inclusion programme BYPL partnered with NGO Society for Advancement of Village Economy (SAVE) to conduct interactive sessions on financial literacy and inclusion in Daryaganj and Yamuna Vihar areas. In February, 40 sessions have been conducted reaching out to 444 people. Celebrations at BYPL Mahila Shiksha Kendras On Republic Day, BYPL Mahila Shiksha Kendras organised small get together at their centres. BYPL free medical camps benefit nearly 3000 people BYPL organised 10 free health camps with NGO partners PHD Rural Development Foundation. The camps benefited 1273 people by providing them with free medical consultations and free medicines. BYPL also organised 4 eye camps with NGO partner Ishwar Charitable Trust (unit of I-Care Hospital, Noida) and reached out to 1582 people. In all, 989 reading glasses and 975 eye drops were provided free to the beneficiaries.

BYPL financial literacy and inclusion programme BYPL partnered with NGO Society for Advancement of Village Economy (SAVE) to conduct interactive sessions on financial literacy and inclusion in Daryaganj and Yamuna Vihar areas. In March, 63 sessions have been conducted reaching out to 614 people.
