Cathy Cameron, Director of Admissions at Pickering College, will be speaking about the Boarding School Experience. Cathy joined Pickering as the Director of Admissions in January 2009. She has experience teaching high school in Japan and Canada, and in working in Admissions and Marketing at the college level on Canada’s West coast. When not in her office at the college in Newmarket, , she can be found meeting prospective students and their families in various cities around the world. What she enjoys the most about her job is meeting new students and learning about their dreams for the future. She looks forward to welcoming you and your family to Pickering College!

Kimberly Carter, Director of Admissions at Branksome Hall The International Baccalaureate (IB) Program

Kimberly Carter, Director of Admissions for Branksome Hall, will be speaking about the International Baccalaureate (IB) and its three programs - the PYP (Primary Year’s Program), MYP (Middle Years Program) and DP (Diploma Program). Kimberly Carter is a trained IB teacher, who prior to becoming the Director of Admissions for Brank- some Hall, taught Grades 1, 3, 6 and 7. Kimberly completed her Diploma in School Leadership through CAIS’s (Canadian Accredited Independent Schools) Leadership Institute in 2008. She holds a Bachelors of Education through OISE/UT and an Honours Bachelor degree from Queen’s University.

Susan Markle, Executive Director of Admissions at TFS - Canada’s International School The International Baccalaureate (IB) Program

Susan Markle, the Executive Director of Admissions at TFS, has been with the school for 15 years. She began her career at TFS as a guidance counsellor be- fore moving to Admissions in 2009. Prior to that, Susan worked at Sedbergh in Quebec where she was Director of Girls’ Residence and ESL Co- ordinator. Over the years Susan has taught, mentored, coached, tutored, di- rected, choreographed and co-led an orientation program for new stu- dents. Her background includes a Master’s degree in psychology as well as professional work in theatre and film. Joseph Pupo, Principal of De La Salle College “Oaklands”

Joseph Pupo, principal of De La Salle College “Oaklands”, will be presenting an overview of the Advanced Placement (AP) program. De La Salle College is an independent Roman Catholic co- educational day school, founded by the teachings and traditions of St. John Baptist de La Salle. The College offers advanced liberal arts curriculum to students from grades five through twelve, which is enhanced by a variety of enriched extracurricular programmes enabling students to develop leadership skills, self-confidence and a sense of social responsibility. As a former Direc- tor of Admissions and Student Services, Joseph implemented a very successful Advanced Place- ment Programme over ten years ago. Joseph is familiar with Advanced Placement and appreci- ates the benefits of participating in an AP programme. Hence, he will be able to provide some real insight to such a worthwhile programme.

Kate Trueland, Admissions Officer at Ridley College, will be speaking about the Boarding School Experience. Ridley Col- lege is modeled after the oldest independent schools in Eng- land yet born of the new world and with a strong Canadian heritage. From K-12, Ridley College has built on our classical roots to offer a thoughtful and integrated Lower School ex- perience, followed by a forward-looking and rigorous univer- sity preparatory experience. Kate is an Upper School Admis- sions Officer at Ridley College. After graduating from West- ern University with a BA in History, she earned a diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, and Leisure at George Brown College. A proud Canadian, Kate grew up on the island of Bermuda and is excited to return to her roots this fall, where she will re- cruit in the Caribbean region on behalf of Ridley College.
