A 20% chance of rain is seen for today, but nothing after that until Saturday. Matt Vibura, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Jacksonville, said temps are running about 10 degrees above normal for this time of year. All the normal precautions remain in place. Drink water and stay away from energy drinks and alcohol, which tend to promote dehydration. Construction workers or anyone who can’t avoid being in the sun for a long period of time should wear loose-fitting long-sleeved shirts to protect themselves.
