Outfielder 2019 Record: 0-1 Yusniel Diaz headlines the roster, coming into the year as Baltimore's number one prospect. Outielder Ryan McKenna (#7) and Left-Handed Pitcher Zac Lowther (#8) also rank in the Orioles' top ten. Pitchers Hunter Harvey April 5 @HBG L, 8-4 (#12), Dillon Tate (#18), Zach Pop (#20) and Infielder Rylan Bannon (#23) round out the top prospects that start the 2019 campaign with the Baysox. The Buck Starts Here: 2019 marks Buck Britton's first season as manager of the Bowie Baysox. Britton replaces Gary Kendall, who was the head man in Bowie from 2011-2018. Last season, Britton managed the Delmarva Shorebirds, leading the club to a 68-66 record. Prior to getting into coaching, Britton played nine seasons in Minor League Baseball, and spent parts of 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 with the Baysox. Buck is the brother of former Baysox and Orioles' left-hander Zack Britton. This Day in Baysox History: On April 6, 2017, the Baysox pounded out 13 runs on 15 hits in an Opening Day win over the Akron RubberDucks. Cedric Mullins hit a leadoff home run to get the Baysox going to start the season. Garabez Rosa and D.J. Stewart also hit home runs in the win.
