DIVISION II MEN’S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS RECORDS BOOK 2015 Championship 2 History 4 All-Time Results 16 2015 CHAMPIONSHIP HIGHLIGHTS Florida Southern's senior squad finshes strong, secures championship: For the first time since 1981, Florida Southern cut down the nets Saturday afternoon at the Ford Center as the top-ranked Moccasins concluded a 36-1 season by collecting a 77-62 win against Indiana (Pa.) in the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championship game. Saturday’s national championship was the first for the men’s basketball team since the 1981 team defeated Mount St. Mary’s 73-68 in the national title game in Springfield, Massachusetts, and the 28th all-time national title in Florida Southern history. Prior to Saturday’s win, FSC’s most recent national title came in 2010 as the men’s golf team took home its NCAA Division II record 12th national championship. “What an unbelievable feeling for our basketball team, our seniors, our school and our community,” Moccasin head coach Linc Darner said following his team’s 25th consecutive victory. “Our five senior starters really deserved this for all the hard work they’ve put in on their own since losing in the first round a year ago. I’m so proud of them, but the sad thing is I don’t get to coach them anymore. “The great thing is they went out on top and they deserve all the credit.” Saturday’s national championship game was the final contest for FSC’s six seniors, five of which started all 37 games during the championship season.

NSIC ANNOUNCES SINGLE-GAME, GENDER SITE SCHEDULE DUE TO COVID-19 FOR 2021 SEASON Friday, November 13, 2020 BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The NSIC has announced its basketball and wrestling schedules for the 2020-21 academ- ic year. The schedules were approved by the NSIC Board of Directors with the health and safety of student-ath- letes, coaches, and staff as the top priority. Both the basketball and wrestling schedules will begin in January and schools will follow NCAA Sports Science Institute (SSI) guidelines for competition. To mitigate COVID-19 exposure, schools will only compete against one opponent each week of the sea- son. The NSIC Men’s and Women’s Basketball schedules will be 16-games played over 8 weeks with teams playing the same opponent at one site on back-to-back days. The season will start with two non-conference games against one NSIC out-of-division opponent. The conference schedule will then consist of 14 games with teams playing each member of its division twice. For this season, the NSIC will only crown a North Division and South Division Champion. For the winter sports of men's and women's indoor track & field and women's swimming & diving that do not operate under a conference schedule, schools will continue with the development of their schedules and with competition beginning in January. The conference will continue to monitor the landscape and conditions surrounding the pandemic, locally, regionally, and nationally, and make any decisions or announcements, at a later date, as necessary. 2021 WAYNE STATE COLLEGE MEN'S BASKETBALL SCHEDULE Date Opponent Time Jan.
