Start your tour with a visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, home to a spectacular Buddha image covered with thick layers of gold leaves. By 10:00 hours, arrive at Yaw Min Gyi monastery, a brick monastery where the architecture reminds the European influence with beautiful stucco. Its wooden structures were all burnt down during World War II and only brick body was remained. Expect to observe the tradition of Buddhist religion and get in-hand experience of offering alms to the monks. You will be inspired by the serenity and the admirable ritual of monks having their lunch in silence. Enjoy your lunch at the monastery.
