4 THE ENVIRONMENT Plastmo Plastic Rain Gutters do not contain any plasticizers or heavy metals that are harmful to the environment.

A PIECE OF GOOD ADVICE Place one side of your ladder against a gutter bracket when you install or clean a rain gutter for fallen leaves. This prevents damage to the plastic rain gutter that over the years might have become less flexible.

FACTS MATERIAL Plastic rain gutters are manufactured from reusable un- leaded hard polyvinyl chloride that does not contain any form of plasticizers. Plastic does not corrode or rust, and will not combine with other materials. Plastic can the- refore be used for all types of roofing. The special Plast- mo glue combines with the plastic rain gutter so that the glued join becomes extra strong and stable.

WEATHER AND CLIMATE Plastic can withstand extremely low temperatures and severe stress from ice and snow without the risk of freeze cracks. Plastic is also not affected by airborne pollution or salty air. You can therefore use plastic, re- gardless of where you live.

System sizes are adapted to different types of houses. A size 10 rain gutter is mounted on small buildings such as summer houses and roofing over terraces and conservatories. H

A size 11 is used for traditional houses and size 12 is mounted on large buildings, such as tenements as well as warehouses and industrial premises. In order to ensure that you have sufficient drainage capacity, you should use the following calculations as your starting point. B Check the drainage capacity In the table you can gauge the system’s drainage capacity in relation to the location of the Measurement Table for Rain Gutters downspout. If the drainage area is greater than the figures in the table, you can choose to install an additional downspout, since that increases drainage capacity. Size Width Height 10 102 64 11 120 72 Make sure you plan drainage for all downspouts. 12 144 87

Is there a need for an expansion spout/expansion piece? Plastic will move slightly when the temperature varies. One should therefore in the following cases use an expansion spout and/or an expansion piece:
