Profile
The town of Bethany Beach began as a yearly seaside assembly for Christian Churches throughout the country. Bethany Beach received its name from a nationwide competition. A man named H.L. Atkinson from the University of Chicago won the contest and Bethany Beach was named.
The “Quiet Resort” of Bethany Beach is located in Sussex County, DE, surrounded by the inland bays and the Atlantic Ocean. Known as one of Delaware’s “Quiet Resorts”, Bethany Beach provides both convenient amenities and small town charm. At any time of year, there is a choice of many things to do.
While Bethany Beach remains a quiet town, there are many opportunities for evening entertainment in the area. Bethany Beach features over 25 casual and fine dining establishments. Bethany Beach is only a ten- minute drive to Dewey, Rehoboth and Ocean City, MD. For the golf enthusiasts, White Creek at Bethany is within 15 minutes of several public and private golf courses. Right across the street is the Salt Pond – an executive golf course. White Creek at Bethany will have its own tennis facilities.
Throughout the area are houses of worship representing most faiths. Excellent medical facilities are also comfortably close to White Creek at Bethany. As a homeowner at White Creek at Bethany, you will be a part of a community where education is a priority. From primary to post secondary, Indian River School District offers a superior learning experience. In addition, a number of superb private schools are in the area.
Because learning is a lifelong endeavor, you will enjoy many excellent opportunities for continuing education that are very accessible from White Creek at Bethany. The University of Delaware and Delaware Community College both have campuses that are within 30 minutes of your new home. Both of these schools offer continuing adult education, with a wide diversity of day, evening and weekend courses.
