The split verdict triggered hectic political activity with two independents, the infamous Gopal Kanda and Ranjeet Singh boarding flights to Delhi for a meeting with the BJP leadership. By Friday afternoon, things had progressed quite a bit with the independents pledging their support to BJP thereby paving way for Khattar-led BJP party to stake claim to form the government again.
