CAPTAIN SLOG CLUB NOTICES “Our vision is to create and sustain Goring Cricket Club as the club of choice for cricketers of all ages, abilities (and availability) in our catchment area, within an Subscriptions Seniors £40.00 environment where everyone is valued, and where success on the field is a natural outcome of participation in the club’s activities”. Students £20.00 Under 18’s £10.00 Club Captain – Jonny Westcar:

Academy (Coaching Fees) “The 2011 Summer of Cricket is one of great potential for Goring Cricket Club. 2010 saw foundations being further strengthened for the future of cricket in Goring. The Cricket Match Fees Seniors £10.00 Academy provides continued investment in youth cricket development, in particular the partnership with Performance Cricket being successful in providing quality skills coaching to Students £5.00 young players, which will have a positive impact on club performances in seasons to come. We Under 18’s £5.00 aim to see younger players start to make the step from Academy to seniors cricket this summer T20 Games £3.00 and will support closely and carefully those juniors that take this opportunity. This year we will see new innovation in cricket at Goring with the launch of the Goring Ultras 20/20 squad competing in competition, league and friendly fixtures against local sides. This Selection Tuesday brand of cricket will bring a further dimension to Goring Cricket Club and ultimately provide more opportunities to get involved with the club, for both players and supporters, as well as some Nets Thursday Academy U11 5.00-6.00pm challenging and exciting cricket on the field. A hard fought season in the Berkshire League in 2010 has helped to forge a strong team spirit Academy U13 6.00-7.00pm and closer player unit for the challenge ahead this year – success this season will be delivered Seniors 7.00-8.30pm through a more focused and competitive attitude on field, combined with availability commitment from players. Very little separates the teams in our division, winning comes from commitment to play and play hard but fair, wanting to win more than the opposition will be everything. Make the most of 2011 with Goring Cricket, whether competing hard on the field or enjoying the club scene.” MATCH BALL SPONSORS Sunday Captain – Tom Ferry:

Thus my aim as captain is to encourage the positive, friendly and sporting environment in which we all (I hope) wish to play cricket.
