Park Robotics Team 3883, The Data Bits, is a group of high school students from Cottage Grove, MN, who build robots that compete at the FIRST Robotics Competition. (See http://www.firstinspires.org/ ). Team 3883 would love to discuss sponsorship opportunities with you.

Your support of the Data Bits would give you a chance to help local students who are interested in careers involving Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). As you can imagine, building a robot is a costly process. The $9,000 basic registration fee alone does not include the cost for robot-building materials or for attending competitions and other events. The school does not fund the Park High School Robotics team, we rely solely on donations from our sponsors. The more money, goods, services, etc. that sponsors donate, the more advertising the team will provide. We advertise our sponsors on our t-shirts, website, and the robot itself.

At your request, the Data Bits would be happy to visit your company to provide you with more information about FIRST Robotics, our team, and demonstrate our robot.

The Data Bits’ tenth season will start January 4th, 2020. Starting this season teams will have an extended build season of three months to build a robot to compete, six of those weeks doubling as competition season. During the build season, whether sponsors donate funds or goods, The Data Bits graciously appreciates all help. We look forward to hearing from you!

About FIRST Robotics:

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an organization founded by inventor to get students involved in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It hosts the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), in which our team competes. FRC is the only competition that places high school students side-by-side with industry professionals (mentors) to work towards a common goal. This unique interaction aids students in developing a wide variety of technical and non-technical skills. We aim to expose students to opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through participation in this competition, and inspire them to pursue these opportunities in later life. Another key part of FIRST is Gracious Professionalism. This term was coined by (cofounder of FIRST), and it means that fierce competition and mutual gain can indeed coexist. It's the practice of encouraging professional work, mutual respect, and outreach. In the first year of FRC (1992) there were 28 teams in a New Hampshire high school gym. FIRST has grown since then; now FRC has over 3500 teams and about 250,000 student members. FIRST has also added 3 other competitions since the inception of FRC: FIRST Lego League Jr. (FLL Jr.), FIRST Lego League (FLL), and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), targeting all students enrolled in grades K-12.
