INTRODUCTION 1. My name is Luis Fernando Gala Soldevilla and I am currently the President of the Mining Council under the Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines ("MINEM"). I am a Mining Engineer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru with an MBA from the Graduate School of Business (Escuela Superior de Negocios para Graduados - "ESAN") in Lima, Peru. I also completed a graduate programe in Finance from the ESAN. 2. I have been with the MINEM for 14 years. I was Vice-minister of Mines from June 2009 to July 2011. In addition, I was involved in the Mining Council from 2004 to 2009 and from 2011 to the present, serving as its President from 2007 to 2008 and from 2014 to date.
