Anthony Mathew of Leckwith and Whitchurch (d.1825) Anthony Mathew died intestate and administration of his estate was granted to his niece and co-heir Elizabeth Mathew, wife of William Mathew of Fairwater. Elizabeth Mathew’s right to claim as an heir to the estate was later challenged at law by William Gedrych, the other co-heir, but without success.
