Postgame Notes Updated Records • Arizona forced six turnovers in the win over Grambling State, marking the first Arizona All-Time time the Wildcats have forced six turnovers in a game since Nov. 18, 2006 against 599-444-33 Oregon. In that affair, Arizona had four interceptions and two fumbles. On Saturday against Grambling State, Arizona had three interceptions and three fumbles. Arizona vs. Grambling State • Arizona finished with five sacks in the victory and have at least one sack in 14 1-0-0 straight games. The five sacks were the most in a game by the Wildcats since col- lecting five last season in a 77-13 win over Northern Arizona. Rich Rodriguez Career • Parker Zellers collected two sacks and two forced fumbles in the victory. The red- 154-105-2 (23rdYear) shirt junior didn’t have any career sacks or forced fumbles entering Saturday night’s game. Rich Rodriguez at Arizona 34-21 (5th Year) • In his first career start, Brandon Dawkins completed 15 of 29 passes for 223 yards and one . The redshirt sophomore also rushed for 97 yards and two . He averaged 6.1 yards per carry. The 97 rushing yards by Dawkins were the most by an Arizona since Jerrard Randall rushed for 105 yards Arizona Under Rodriguez on 10 carries against Washington State last season. At Home (2016) • Nick Wilson finished with 116 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. It marked his 21-7 (1-0) 12th career 100-yard rushing game and second in two games this season. Wilson now has 2,358 career rushing yards. He’s 31 yards away from passing Jim Up- church for 11th all-time on Arizona’s career rushing list. On Road 11-11 (0-0) • Wilson’s 11-yard touchdown run in the third quarter marked his 27th career rush- ing touchdown. The junior is now tied with Ronald Veal for fourth all-time at Arizona Neutral Site in rushing touchdowns. With one more he’ll tie Nic Grigsby for third. 2-3 (0-1) • Wilson has opened the season with back-to-back 100-yard games for the sec- ond time in his three-year career. As a freshman in 2014, Wilson posted 104 yards Non-Conference against UNLV and then 174 against UTSA. Last season, Wilson rushed for 97 yards 16-2 (1-1) in the season-opener against UTSA, before rushing for 183 yards against Nevada. • Senior Samajie Grant had five catches for 95 yards in the win. The 95 yards mark Pac-12 Conference his largest output since collecting a career best 101 yards in 2014 versus UNLV. 18-19 (0-0)

• Grant now has 131 catches for his career, which is tied for 9th most all-time at Arizona Scores First Arizona with Syndric Steptoe. Grant passed Cayleb Jones and David Roberts, who 22-7 (0-0) were tied for 10th with 128 career receptions. Next up for Grant is Jon Horton, who finished with 136 in his career. Opponent Scores First • Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles and Jarvis McCall each picked up the second inter- 12-14 (1-1) ception of their respective careers. Flannigan-Fowles also led the team with nine tackles, including one for a loss. McCall, who had his first career interception last season in the New Mexico Bowl, had five tackles, including one for a loss, to go Arizona Wins Turnover Battle with his interception. • Redshirt junior linebacker DeAndre’ Miller finished with four tackles, including Opponent Wins Turnover Battle one sack, which is counted as a tackle-for-loss. Miller now has at least one tackle- 5-14 (0-1) for-loss in four consecutive games, dating back to last season. That’s the longest streak of his career. Turnovers Even • Arizona outscored Grambling State 28-0 in the second half Saturday and is now 10-5 (0-0) outscoring opponents 44-16 in the second half of games this season. The Cats haven’t allowed a point in the third quarter of either game this season. Scores 30+ Points • The Wildcats last held a team scoreless in the second half last season on Nov. 10 31-8 (1-0) against Oregon State. Arizona won that game 44-7, allowing only a second-quarter touchdown. Scores 40+ Points 18-2 (0-0) • Flannigan-Fowles’ nine tackles are a career high. His previous high was seven, set last season against Washington State. 100+ Rushing Yards • True freshman Tristan Cooper saw his career action Saturday and collected six 33-15 (1-1) tackles, which was third most on the team. • Arizona erased a double-digit halftime deficit for the first time since 2014 ver- 200+ Rushing Yards sus Cal. The Wildcats trailed 21-3 Saturday. Against Cal, Arizona trailed 28-6 at the 24-4 (1-0) break. 500+ Total Yards 18-4 (0-0)
