Parish Weekly Update May 7, 2021

A Message from Fr. Patrick Agbodi, sma

Dear Parishioners,

THANK YOU!

I am writing to you to let you know how much I appreciate the love and support which you have shown me since the passing on of my mother. Your kind gesture is extremely impressive and highly valuable to me and the family as we prepare for my mother’s funeral. May the risen Christ bless and uphold you and your families now and always. Amen!

Sincerely yours,

Fr. Patrick Agbodi, sma

Updates for this week May is moving along quickly at the parish. We are starting to welcome more people to Masses, which is lovely. We appreciate everyone’s patience with our Mass sign-up process and now that we have more Masses to offer and more seating available, we want to welcome you to sign up for the whole month instead of week to week. We hope this change makes it easier for you and takes one thing off your check list for the week!

The Ascension of the Lord Mass Schedule – Thursday, May 13, 2021

We are asking parishioners to call in for sign-ups for this holy day of obligation. Please call by Tuesday, May 11th. Thank you!

8:00 am - St. Katharine Drexel 10:00 am - St. Ambrose Noon - Our Lady Queen of Peace 6:00 pm - St. Charles Borromeo, St. Mary’s & St. Patrick’s

Our Lady Queen of Peace has moved upstairs…yes, already! To help space out the parishioners and to accommodate more people, we felt the cooler days will soon be warm. Please plan to wear a sweater if you tend to get chilly! Thank you to the dozen or so volunteers who took the time to thoroughly clean, vacuum, dust, tape off pews and bring all the liturgical items upstairs. The church looks and smells beautiful!

The 2021 Catholic Appeal

The 2021 Catholic Appeal, Together in Christ, kicks off May 16, 2021. All registered parishioners should be receiving an appeal letter and information in the mail. For elementary and middle school students, the program runs Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. The high school program meets nightly, beginning Sunday night through Thursday from 7:30 to 9:30pm. Posters are in each church and brochures are available in our offices. Sign up your child or young adult for Totus Tuus today at www.registertotustuusme.org.
