The purpose of this EEO Public File Report (“Report”) is to comply with Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the FCC’s 2002 EEO Rule. This Report has been prepared on behalf of the Station Employment Unit that is comprised of the following station(s): KAKW-DT, Killeen, , KTFO-CD, Texas, KLQB-FM Taylor, Texas, and KLJA- FM Georgetown, KXLK-CD, Austin, Texas and is required to be placed in the public inspection files of these stations, and posted on their websites, if they have websites.

The information contained in this Report covers the time period beginning March 26st 2018 to and including March 31th 2019 (the “Applicable Period”).

The FCC’s 2002 EEO Rule requires that this Report contain the following information:

1. A list of all full-time vacancies filled by the Station(s) comprising the Station Employment Unit during the Applicable Period;

2. For each such vacancy, the recruitment source(s) utilized to fill the vacancy (including, if applicable, organizations entitled to notification pursuant to Section 73.2080(c)(1)(ii) of the new EEO Rule, which should be separately identified), identified by name, address, contact person and telephone number;

3. The recruitment source that referred the hire for each full-time vacancy during the Applicable Period;

4. Data reflecting the total number of persons interviewed for full-time vacancies during the Applicable Period and the total number of interviewees referred by each recruitment source utilized in connection with such vacancies; and

5. A list and brief description of the initiatives undertaken pursuant to Section 73.2080(c)(2) of the FCC rules.

Appendices 1, 2 and 3 which follows have been designed, in the aggregate, to provide the required information. Please note that the numbers listed on Appendix 2 under the column entitled “Full-time Positions for Which This Source Was Utilized” refer to the number of the full-time job positions listed on Appendix 1.

For purposes of this Report, a vacancy was deemed “filled” not when the offer was extended but when the hire accepted the job offer. A person was deemed “interviewed” whether he or she was interviewed in person and/or over the telephone.

The following sets forth the supplemental outreach conducted by the stations KAKW-DT, KTFO-CD, KLQB-FM, and KLJA-FM and KXLK-CD.

PROGRAMS:

Univision Media Center at Hernandes Middle School

The Univision Media Center provides students with the tools and training to understand how a media newsroom operates and gain experience with production and editing equipment, as well as training from media professionals at Univision.

Externships:

During the week of June 4th to June 8th, Round Rock ISD and United Way sponsored Yesenia Tijerina, instructor from the Round Rock Independent School District to visit and shadow the Univision Production and news team. Yesenia learned the procedures to produce a Live News Cast, and client commercial production. Yesenia also learned procedures from the news team to prepare for interviews, how to handle braking news, and writing the reports. Yesenia took notes and shared all information with her High School students. Yesenia also learned about the different job opportunities in TV and Radio and how Univision TV (KAKW-DT, KTFO-CD, KXLK-CD) and Univision Radio (KLQB-FM, KLJA-FM) work together to keep the community informed.

From July 24th to July 26 Round Rock ISD and United Way sponsored Sheila Jordan, instructor from Round Rock Independent, to visit and shadow the Univision Production team. Sheila learned the procedures to produce a News Cast, TV commercials, PSA’s, News Briefs, Bill Boards, Morning Segments, and Radio Production. Sheila shared all information with her High School Students in Media Class. Sheila also learned about the different job opportunities in TV and Radio and how Univision TV (KAKW-DT, KTFO-CD, KXLK-CD) and Univision Radio (KLQB-FM, KLJA-FM) work together to keep the community informed.

CAREER DAY

• Barrington Elementary Career Day-1 On February 06, 2018, News Director, Ismael Martinez had the opportunity to participate in the Barrington Elementary Career Day. Ismael had the opportunity to talk to the students about his

duties as a News Director and other jobs at Univision and showcased how to do an interview on site. Ismael also talked to the students about the different job opportunities in TV and Radio and how Univision TV (KAKW-DT, KTFO-CD, KXLK-CD) and Univision Radio (KLQB-FM, KLJA-FM) work together to keep the community informed.

• Linder Elementary Career Day On April 27, 2018 News Anchor, Regina Rodriguez had the opportunity to participate in the Linder Elementary Career Day. Regina had the opportunity to talk to the students about her duties as a News Anchor and other jobs at Univision. Regina encouraged the students to stay in school and pursue a college education. Regina also talked to the students about the different job opportunities in TV and Radio and how Univision TV (KAKW-DT, KTFO-CD, KXLK-CD) and Univision Radio (KLQB-FM, KLJA-FM) work together to keep the community informed

• ShadowGlen Elementary Career Day On April 19, 2018 Weather Presenter and Financial Analyst, Blanca Gaytan, had the opportunity to participate in the ShadowGlen Elementary Career Day. Blanca had the opportunity to talk to the students about her duties as a Weather Presenter and Finance Analyst and other jobs at Univision. Blanca also talked to the students about the different job opportunities in TV and Radio and how Univision TV (KAKW-DT, KTFO-CD, KXLK-CD) and Univision Radio (KLQB-FM, KLJA-FM) work together to keep the community informed.

• Martin Middle School Tour On May 17, 2018 several students from Martin Middle school visited Univision Austin. The students participated on a live broadcast radio show as special guest with Edwin Guzman. The Martin Middle School students were able to tour the station and learn about the different job opportunities in TV and Radio and how Univision TV (KAKW-DT, KTFO-CD, KXLK-CD) and Univision Radio (KLQB-FM and KLJA-FM) work together to keep the community informed. The students were able to visit the Production department, the News department and they were able to shadow and ask questions regarding producing news cast

• Lake Travis High School Tour On February 28, 2018 several students from Lake Travis HS visited Univision Austin. The students participated on a live broadcast radio show with Leslie Montoya. The students were able to tour the station and learn about the different job opportunities in TV and Radio, they were able to ask questions to our managers, coordinators, producers, and talent. They also learned how Univision TV (KAKW-DT, KTFO-CD, KXLK-CD) and Univision Radio (KLQB-FM and KLJA-FM) work together to keep the community informed. The students were able to visit the Production department, the News department and they were able to shadow and ask questions regarding producing news cast

• ACC Upward Bound Tour On June 22, 2018 several students from the Austin Community College Upward Bound Program visited Univision Austin. The students participated on a live broadcast radio with Leslie Montoya and were able to see how Leslie records her Despierta Austin interviews. The Upward Bound at ACC is a year- round program for first generation, low income high school students who attend Travis and Reagan High Schools in Austin. from June to July the students learn about different career opportunities within the radio-television industry. The students were able to visit the

Production department, the News department and they were able to shadow and ask questions regarding producing news cast.

• S.T.E.A.M. FEST On April 7, 2018 News Director Ismael Martinez participated in the STEAM Fest, which is a festival & career fair that includes Arts demonstrations as well as family resources, summer camps, college and career fair. Ismael talked to the students about his job duties at Univision and other job opportunities in Radio and TV. The students heard from Ismael about the different job opportunities in TV and Radio and how Univision TV (KAKW-DT, KTFO-CD, KXLK-CD) and Univision Radio (KLQB-FM and KLJA-FM) work together to keep the community informed.

• Con Mi Madre Tour On June 27, 2018 several students that participate in the Con Mi Madre program visited Univision Austin. The purpose of the tour was for the students to shadow various positions that are available at Univision Austin, in order to gain a better understanding of what a career in media/ communications field would be like. The students were able to tour the station and learn about the different job opportunities in TV and Radio and how Univision TV (KAKW-DT, KTFO-CD, KXLK-CD) and Univision Radio (KLQB-FM and KLJA-FM) work together to keep the community informed. The students were able to visit the Production department, the News department and they were able to shadow and ask questions regarding producing news cast production.

• Avance Graduation On May 30, 2018 Univision Local Media Weather Anchor, Blanca Gaytan had the opportunity to participate as MC at the Avance Graduation, morning class. La Graduacion honors the achievements of parents and children who have shown great dedication to completing Avance’s nine-month Parent-Child Education Program. Blanca had the opportunity to talk to students and parents regarding her job as Weather Anchor and Finance Analyst.

• Avance Graduation On May 30, 2018 Univision Local Media, Radio Personality, Claudia Talamantez had the opportunity to participate as MC at the Avance Graduation, afternoon class. La Graduacion honors the achievements of parents and children who have shown great dedication to completing Avance’s nine-month Parent-Child Education Program. Claudia had the opportunity to talk to students and parents regarding her job as a Radio and TV personality.

EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTES EVENTS

• University of Texas at Austin – Carola Guerrero de Leon

On April 25, 2018 Carola Guerrero de Leon participated in the UT institute panel to discuss Spanish language news media. the event was sponsored by UT institute of Lifetime Learning/NOVA program and UT’s Journalism School. There were more than 200 participants who were interested in current events. Carola was able to talk to the students about her career at Univision Austin and other roles in the TV and Radio industry.

• University of Texas at Austin

On June 8, 2018, Leslie Montoya participated in the Catch the Next Transfer Motivational Conference. This program oversees the program throughout Texas and holds a motivational conference at UT for CTN students throughout Texas. It offers an Ascender program at South Texas Colle, El Paso Community college, Palo Alto Colle in San Antonio and ACC in Austin. The conference is regarding on how to seek ways to overcome obstacles and challenges. Leslie was able to talk to the students about her experience as a Radio and TV talent and talked about how she manages her time between radio and TV programs. Leslie also talked and motivated students to growing within their careers. The students were able to ask questions and heard about the different types of job opportunities at Univision (KAKW-DT, KTFO-CD, KLQB-FM and KLJA-FM) and how Univision keeps the community informed.

SPONSORED COMMUNITY EVENTS

Back to School Bash

On August 18, 2018 Univision Local Media host a Back to School Bash at the premises. Univision Radio and TV talent visited with our community and shared their job description at the Univision booth. The community learned about reporters use equipment on the field, Radio personalities spoke about how they prepare for their radio shows, production team talked about how they produce a commercial for TV or Radio. the community also learned about weather with our Weather anchor, Blanca Gaytan. The talent also talked to the community about the different job opportunities in TV and Radio and how Univision TV (KAKW-DT, KTFO-CD, KXLK-CD) and Univision Radio (KLQB-FM and KLJA-FM) work together to keep the them informed.
