The Environment, Natural Resources and Regional Development Committee is one of nine Joint Investigatory Committees established during the 58th Parliament of Victoria.

The Committee was formed for the first time during the 58th Parliament following the merger of the Environment and Natural Resources Committee and the Rural and Regional Committee. Ms MP Mr Tim McCurdy MP Chair Deputy Chair Under the Parliamentary Committees Act 2003, Member for Thomastown Member for Ovens Valley the main role of the Committee is to hold public inquiries and report back to the Parliament on:

•• the environment •• natural resources •• planning the use, development or protection of land •• the provision of services to regional Victoria •• the development of regional Victoria.
