A TO Z Kids News

On Sunday, April 5, many families will participate in the Easter Holiday. Easter is the most color iT! important of Christian holidays, because it celebrates the resurrection of Jesus. The term Easter is Latin meaning “dawn.” Easter’s date varies each year and always occurs after the irst full moon after the Vernal Equinox (when the sun is highest in the sky, marking the beginning of Spring.) Many families dress up in their inest clothes and go to Church on Easter Sunday. Many have picnics and participate in community events, like Easter egg hunts. Children love Easter for the fun that it brings. Kids are vis- ited by the Easter Bunny who brings a basket of goodies each year. Eggs are dyed to look bright and colorful. Adults hide plastic eggs illed with goodies and then see who can ind the most. Easter is the most popular of all the Spring holidays, because it represents the new life and warm weather that are so often associated with the holiday. diFFerenT duckieS!
