Miscellaneous Notes  With the win, K‐State is now 1,639‐1,147 all‐time, in this, its 115th season of basketball.  K‐State is now 125‐78 all‐time in regular‐season tournament play, which encompasses 76 tournaments dating back to the school’s first tournament in 1905…  K‐State is now 17‐8 all‐time in tournament play under head coach Bruce Weber… The Wildcats advance to their fourth regular‐season tournament final under Weber, following the 2012 NIT Season Tip‐Off, 2015 CBE Hall of Fame Classic and the 2016 Classic… The team has not won an in‐season tournament title since the 2011 .  K‐State is now 3‐2 all‐time at the Paradise Jam in its first visit to the tournament since 2002.  Head coach Bruce Weber is now 129‐80 at K‐State and 442‐235 overall in his career.  This was the second meeting between K‐State and Penn and the first since 1975… The Wildcats are now 2‐0 all‐time against the Quakers… K‐State is now 4‐0 vs. the Ivy League.  The Wildcats’ starting lineup consisted of senior guards Kamau Stokes and Barry Brown, Jr., junior guard/forward Xavier Sneed, senior forward Dean Wade and junior forward Makol Mawien… This is the third time in 4 games using this lineup in 2018‐19 and the 18th time overall dating back to last season.  Brown has now seen action in 109 consecutive games, including 87 straight starts… His 109 consecutive games played ranks seventh in school history, while the 87 consecutive starts tied Wesley Iwundu (20013‐ 17) for fourth… Wade has now played in 105 career games, including 102 starts… His 102 career starts rank tied Rodney McGruder (2009‐13) for seventh all‐time… Stokes has now seen action in 90 career games, including 79 starts… Sneed has played in 75 career games, which includes 42 starts… Mawien has started all 41 games in his career.

Team Notes  K‐State scored 64 points on 42.1 percent shooting (24‐of‐57), including 28.6 percent (2‐of‐7) from 3‐point range, and connected on 73.7 percent (14‐of‐19) from the free throw line… It marked consecutive games connected on better than 70 percent from the free throw line.  K‐State held advantages in points in the paint (36‐22) and bench points (23‐14).  K‐State has now held 72 opponents to 60 points or less in the Weber era with the Wildcats boasting a 65‐ 7 mark in those contests… Penn was held to 48 points 30.6 percent shooting (15‐of‐49).  K‐State is now 108‐28 under Bruce Weber when holding an opponent to 69 points or less.  K‐State scored 22 points off of 19 Penn turnovers, posting four consecutive games of 20 or more points off of turnovers to start the season… The team also totaled at least 7 steals for the fourth straight game.

Player Notes  Senior Dean Wade scored team‐high 17 points on 7‐of‐15 field goals to go with team‐tying 8 rebounds and a game‐high 4 assists in 35 minutes… He has now scored in double figures in 66 career games… He has now led the team in scoring in 25 career games, in rebounding in 33 career games and in assists in 15 career games.  Senior Kamau Stokes scored a season‐high 16 points on 6‐of‐11 field goals, including 2‐of‐3 from 3‐point range, and 2‐of‐2 from the free throw line, to go with 2 rebounds and 2 assists in 38 minutes… He has now scored in double figures in 51 career games.  Junior Xavier Sneed scored in double figures in third straight game with 11 points to go with 2 rebounds, 2 assists and a season‐high 4 steals in 28 games… He has now scored in double figures in 38 career games.  Junior Makol Mawien registered an impressive line, posting 5 points on 2‐of‐5 shooting to go with 8 rebounds and a career‐high 4 blocks in 29 minutes.
