ART has dedicated itself to expressing the wonder and strength of cultural diversity, and has been founded with “the purpose of providing professional productions of primarily American, contemporary and classical musical and non-musical theater pieces celebrating the cultural diversity of the Asbury Park community, the people of the state of New Jersey, and the citizenry of the United States, and to developing new works oy artists of similar disposition.” In this vein, ART will be accepting scripts from a variety of playwrights. Once chosen, the playwrights will have the artistic freedom to pick the actors and directors with whom they wish to work. The works will be presented at a series of weekend productions, throughout the sum­ mer, in the Asbury Park area.
