Minnesota State University The team is in the midst of competing in the Qwest Tour, which features 10 games in nine cities and ends University of North Dakota just prior to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, B.C. The squad will play in five more Qwest Tour Ohio State University games, including a match against Team Canada in St. Paul, Minn., on Dec. 30; Hamden, Conn., on Jan. 3; against St. Cloud State University defending NCAA champion Wisconsin in Madison, Wis., on Jan. 5; and Colorado Springs, Colo., on Feb. 4. University of Wisconsin The roster includes three goaltenders, six defensemen and 12 forwards. Six of the players have Olympic experience and 21 athletes have competed in an International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World home of a record 10 Women’s Championship, including 20 who have captured a gold medal either this year or last. Nineteen of consecutive National the 21 players from the 2009 U.S. Women's National Team return to the squad for the 2009-10 season. Championship Teams In addition, 11 members of Team USA played NCAA Division 1 women’s ice hockey during the 2008-09 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, season, while the remaining 10 were on the 2008-09 U.S. Women’s Select Team, part of a residency program 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 set up by USA Hockey in Blaine, Minn.. Of the 11 NCAA players, six have NCAA eligibility remaining. Roster Highlights include: six Olympians, 20 World Champions, 19 returnees from the 2009 U.S. Women's National Team, 10 members of the 2008-09 U.S. Women’s Select Team, eight players who have competed in Western Women’s Hockey League, 11 NCAA Division 1 players (2008-09), 10 participants in the 2009 NCAA tournament, nine NCAA national champions, seven participants in the 2009 NCAA Women’s Frozen Four, four winners of the 2009 NCAA National Championship, and three Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award recipients.
