SECTION 10 Loctite

1. Loctite 5331 (Threadsealant) Art. No. 104.077

Loctite 5331 is recommendet for use on plastic pipe threaded fittings carrying hot or cold water. Potable water approvals permit its use in contact with drinking water.

2. Loctite 542 brown (Threadlocking) Art. No. 104.074

Loctite 542 is designed for the locking and sealing of plastic and metal pipes and fittings. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Remove with standard hand tools.

3. Loctite 270 green (Threadlocking) Art. No. 104.076 Loctite 270 is designed for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Typical applications include the locking and sealing of large bolts and studs (M25 and larger) For disassembly apply localized heat to nut or bolt to apprx. 230°C. Disassemble while hot. 4. Loctite 243 blue (Threadlocking) Art. No. 104.073 Loctite 243 is designed for locking and sealing of threaded fasteners which require normal disassembly with standard hand tools. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. For disassembly in rare instances where hand tools do not work of execssive engagement length, apply localized heat to nut or bolt to approximately 250°C. Disassemble while hot.

5. Loctite 222 purple (Threadlocking) Art. No. 104.078 Loctite 222 is designed for locking and sealing of threaded fasteners which require normal disassembly with standard hand tools. Loctite 7400 is a solvent based dark red marking ink for use on electronic equipment. The product dries quickly and has excellent adhesion to a range of materials. It is ideal for tamperproofing adjustment points or marking components to indicate they have been set or tested.
