After School Club 2020 “A Power Play! Beyond School Program” (August - September) This program will be held after school for children that may need to go somewhere when school is over with, so they will come to Krueger Park and have a blast. This program will only be held on full days of school (District 117). While the children are here they will work on their school work, play a variety of games, make craft projects, play sports, or even go outside to play. The students that attend Glen Oaks Elementary School will meet at the school with a Park Supervisor and will be walked over to Krueger Park at 2:45 p.m. and again after their Extended Day Program at 4:00 p.m. each day. The students from Dorn, Sorrick, Oak Ridge, and Conrady will be transported to Krueger Park. There is no charge if they are on the bus program, however if they are not, additional fees may apply if they wish to get transported by bus to Krueger Park. Students who are transported to school via a school bus must make transportation arrangements before enrolling your child. Each day drinks and snacks will be provided by the park. Any child picked up after 6:10 p.m. will be assessed a late fee (no exceptions). No refunds or credits, including for medical reasons. Registration Information Resident Registration Begins Monday, June 1 Non-Resident Registration Begins Monday, June 8 Hickory Hills Park District Construction Notices Kasey Meadow Park Construction & OSLAD Grant The Hickory Hills Park District has received an OSLAD grant for $368,000 to renovate the tennis courts, skate park, basketball court and in-line skating which will be transformed into an asphalt soccer court. Other amenities include a new social gathering space which will include a new game table, baggo, a seating area with an outdoor charging station near the skate park, basketball court and soccer court. The performance stairs that are currently located at the sled hill and concert/spe- cial event hill will be replaced to meet cur- rent ADA standards. A curb ramp will be installed from the parking lot to the per- formance hill area with an ADA accessible concrete area for spectators to view a con- cert or event from the top of the hill. Com- panion seating with benches and arm and back rests will be installed. This project in- cludes replacing park amenities, bringing new amenities to the park, and improving the park’s accessibility for all users at this park which serves the entire Hickory Hills community and surrounding suburbs. The basketball courts, skate park, in- line skating and tennis courts will be closed in 2020. Notice of closings will be posted at www.hhparkdistrict.org.

Cynthia Neal Center Building Renovation The Cynthia Neal Center will be renovated in 2020. This renovation will include a new roof, siding, windows, flooring, HVAC systems, and ADA accessible washrooms will be added for both women and men, as well as a family changing washroom. A front entrance vestibule will be added and an additional office. This project is budgeted at $2.5 million and funds will be from a General Obligation bond. The Cyn- thia Neal Center and office will be closed from May 25 - September 1. Registration will only be taken at Krueger Park during this time.
