Auch in diesem Jahr werden das Projekt OpenOffice.org und der Verein OpenOffice.org Deutschland e.V. mit einem Gemeinschaftsstand in Halle B2, Stand 110.22 auf der Systems in München vertreten sein. Vom 23. bis 26. Oktober können sich Besucher neben den Neuigkeiten in der Programmversion 2.3 über die aktuellen Versionen der von Projektmitgliedern erstellten Distribution PrOOo-Box sowie des vom USB-Stick lauffähigen OpenOffice.org Portable informieren. Der Gemeinschaftsstand wird vom gemeinnützigen Verein OpenOffice.org Deutschland e.V. organisiert, der sich der Förderung von freier Software, insbesondere OpenOffice.org, verschrieben hat. Abgerundet wird der Messeauftritt durch zwei Vorträge: Am Freitag, den 26. Oktober um 10:00 Uhr hält Thomas Krumbein einen Vortrag zum Thema "Feature-Überblick Microsoft Office vs. OpenOffice.org". Am selben Tag um 12:00 Uhr referiert Jacqueline Rahemipour über "OpenOffice.org- Migrationen in mittelständischen Unternehmen - Praxisbeispiele und Erfahrungen". Neben dem Projekt und dem Verein stellen auch vier erfahrene Dienstleister rund um OpenOffice.org Ihre Produkte und Services der Öffentlichkeit vor, und zeigen, was mit der freien Office Suite alles möglich ist. YCC is a collaboration among the Employ Prince George, Inc, the Prince George’s County Public Schools, Prince George’s County Community College, The Maryland Center at Bowie State University, Hillside Work Scholarship Connection, the Latin American Youth Center; and two business partners at Lockheed Martin and University of Maryland Capital Region Health formerly known as Dimensions Healthcare Systems.
