Beth Fritz-Logrea Beth is a former , that transitioned to educator, choreographer, and artistic director. She was a protégée of famed ballerina Dame Alicia Markova and received her early training in Memphis, Tennessee, with Charles Kirby and Manola Agullo. At the age of sixteen she joined the Metropolitan Opera in New York City and continued her career as principal dancer with Ballet Etudes Repertory Company, Connecticut, St. Gallen Stadt Theatre, Switzerland, and Opernhaus Graz, Austria. She toured extensively in Europe, dancing leading roles in such as , Swan Lake, Coppélia, Romeo and Juliet, and . She also danced the role of Sugar Plum Fairy for many years for the WBC.

As a teacher, Beth, along with Jean Logrea, has trained hundreds of young dancers, many who have gone on to successful professional careers not only in dance, but also in medicine, law, education, business, and finance. The success of the LDA program can be seen in the advanced technical abilities of the dancers the school produces and the very high rate of acceptances of those dancers into the most selective summer intensive programs in NYC and beyond.

Beth has served as the co-artistic director of WBC since 1986. She played a critical role in building a partnership with Westchester County Parks & Recreation to move the Company’s annual production of The Nutcracker to the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY. She has served as a Board member since 1986, working closely with parent volunteers on the many backstage management tasks that go into producing a Nutcracker on the scale of WBC’s.
