A brief note on the importance of place
Panaji is the Capital of Goa – a small and charming City on the left bank of Mandovi River with beautiful red- roofed houses, well laid gardens, statues and avenues lined with Gulmohar, Acacia and other Trees. Goa has silvery sand beaches – Vagatore, Anjuna, Calangute, Miramar and Colva and palm fringed Rivers moving lazily down to the Arabian Sea, lush scenery with Rice paddies, Mango groves, and easy going hospitable people. Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary : It is situated along the North East border of Goa, on the Belgaum National Highway. This Wildlife Sanctuary covers about 250 sq. km. Of thick forest clad slopes. Dudhsagar fall, about an hours journey from Collem by Train, is a feast for the eyes. Devils Canyon is another beautiful geological spot. The famous Tambdi Surla temple is about 13 km. From Molem.
