Peter Tillessen Documentation 2015 – 2021 www.tillessen.info Peter Tillessen was born in the Black Forest (Germany). He first studied Agronomics at Christian Albrecht University in Kiel and later Photography at F.A.M.U (Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts) in Prague and at Z.H.D.K (Zurich University of the Arts) in Zurich. After a decade of commercial photography, he returned to his artistic endeavours in 2013. He currently lives and works in Zurich and Loco, Ticino. For his experimental arrangements with charts-tested pop music (quite close to the ecstatic of the celebrated dissolution of boundaries through repetition) he has chosen a place of habit and familiarity, where all participants can intuitively or deliberate- ly practice observation and self-observation from moment to moment and localize their point of focus in a varying depth of field. Biennale di Venezia, the NO SHOW MUSEUM is on tour across America from August to October 2016, including pop-up exhibitions in art venues and galleries. In Ottawa, the No Show Museum is hosted by the EBA, in cooperation with Guy Berube (LPM Projects) and Brendan A. de Montigny (PDA Projects). At the opening on the 25 August 2016 at 7 pm, Andreas Heusser, Curator of No Show Museum, will give an illuminating introduction (lecture performance) to the art of nothing, followed by thoughts and talks about nothing by Dana Danielson and Andrew Morrow. The NO SHOW MUSEUM is the world’s first museum devoted to nothing and its various manifestations throughout the history of art. Its collection includes works and documents from over 120 renowned in- ternational artists of the 20th and 21st centuries, among them, Marina Abramovic, Joseph Beuys, Daniel Buren, Maurizio Cattelan, Marcel Duchamp, Hans Haacke, Yves Klein, Piero Manzoni, Gianni Motti, Robert Rauschenberg, Man Ray, Robert Ryman, Richard Serra, Santiago Sierra, Andy Warhol and Rémy Zaugg. -
