ORDER

Sri J. Nagendram has filed a complaint dated 05-02-2018 which was received by this Commission on 09-02-2018 for not getting the information sought by him from the Public Information Officer / The Special Officer, Kasturi Bai Gandhi Girls School, Midjil Village & Mandal, Nagarkurnool District.

The brief facts of the case as per the Complaint and other records received along with it are that the Complainant herein filed an application dated 06-01-2018 before the Public Information Officer requesting to furnish the information under Sec.6(1) of the RTI Act, 2005, on the following points mentioned in his application annexed.

The Complainant stated that as he did not receive the required information from the PIO even after 30 days of filing his application, he preferred this Complaint before the Commission requesting to arrange to furnish the information sought by him u/s 18(1) of the RTI Act, 2005.

Basing on the material papers available on record, the complaint is taken on file and notices were sent to the parties concerned directing them to appear before this Commission for hearing on 10-10-2018 at Hyderabad.

The case is called on 10-10-2018. The complainant and the Public Information Officer are absent.

The complainant filed the affidavit dated 10-10-2018 through post stating that the Public Information Officer did not furnished the information.

Though the Pancahayat Secretary examinations are scheduled to be held on 10- 10-2018, the Public Information Officer ought to have furnished the information within the time.

However, the Public Information Officer is directed to furnish the information within 15 days of receipt of this order and submit compliance report along with the reasons for not furnishing the information within time.

The Public Information Officer is hereby warned not to repeat such lapses in future. Failing which action will be initiated as per section 20 of the RTI Act.
