The Dalhart Lady Wolves traveled to Claude on Tues- day Feb. 27 to play the Lady Mustangs in a non-district game. Dalhart played one of their best games of the young season, beating Claude by a score of 18-7. The Lady Wolves batted first. Dalhart’s first three hit- ters were able to reach base and eventually score. Tabby Pedraza, Savanna Watson, and Anzleigh Swecker each crossed home plate during the first inning. Lyndsey Dovel and Madison Steinkamp reached base as well, but were left stranded as the next three batters were retired. In the bottom of the first, the Lady Wolves retired the first three batters in a row, and Dalhart led 3-0 after one inning. Dalhart expanded its lead in the top of the second.
