Selamat Datang!!! Welcome to the largest archipelago on earth, . From west to east it covers about 4,000 miles and consists of at least 25,000 islands!! It is a land of many diverse cultures and languages. We start our adventure in , as we land in Jakarta. Sights to see include the modernistic Istiqlal Mosque. We travel further east on Java to , Java’s predominant tourist city. We visit the breathtaking Temple. This colossal Buddhist monument is built from two million stone blocks in the form a symmetrical stupa. Seeing it at sunrise or sunset is a picture never to be forgotten. We will be in awe at the performance of the Ramayana, a tale of good vs. evil. We then take a short plane ride east to the island of Bali, Indonesia’s #1 tourist destination!!! Unlike most of the other islands of Indonesia, Bali is Hindu not Muslim. In the city of , we will be seduced by the haunting and melodic charms of the Balinese dancers. Words can’t describe their coordinated arm, body, and eye movements! We will visit some very photogenic Balinese temples and marvel at them! One of the most famous is called Uluwatu. Seeing it at sunset rivals Anghor Wat in Cambodia!! We travel further east by plane to explore National Park. It is here that we hope to see the . This huge predator is found only here in the entire world!! This was one of my personal biggest thrills for the entire trip. I have never seen a Komodo dragon in person. The photo I took of a huge 12 foot, 250 pound male very close to me will always be ranked as one of my very best!!! Its saliva contains one of the most poisonous substances on earth. You will see this dangerous predator close-up at this show!! This is a show that everyone will enjoy. Please join me for this memorable excursion. Tarima Kashi (Thank you).
