FROM THE RECTOR’S DESK

Dear Faithful, The Catholic Liturgy celebrates only three birthdays: Jesus at Christmas, John the Baptist on June 24th, Our Lady on September 8th. Mary’s birth is the initial point of the realization of the Great Mystery of the Incarnation of the Son of God for the salvation of mankind. Mary, pre- served from sin in anticipation of Christ’s merits, not only announces that the Redemption is at hand, but she bears the first fruits of the salvation operated by her Son Jesus: she is the first one re- deemed by her Divine Son. On her, all pure and full of grace, the Holy Trinity fixes on earth a look of complacency, finding in her alone a creature in whom the infinite perfection of the Godhead can dwell.

Very truly your,

Canon Benoît Jayr INSTITUTE OF CHRIST THE KING SOVEREIGN PRIEST ST STANISLAUS BISHOP & MARTYR PARISH Announcements and Upcoming Events
