TENDER NOTICE Sealed Tenders Based on Item/Percentage/MRS TENDER NOTICE Sealed tenders based on item/percentage/MRS rates on approved estimate (MRS Bi-Annual Period 1st January 2017 to 30th June, 2017 for District Gujranwala) are hereby invited for the work mentioned below from the approved Contractors/Firms of HUD & PHE Department for the year 2016-17 and those who have got deposited their enlistment/renewal fee for current financial year. The tender documents can be obtained immediately after the publication from the Divisional Head Clerk of this office during office hours on written request alongwith attested copy of enlistment/renewal letter, fee deposit, firm authority letter, NIC of contractor/firm’s, registered power of attorney, on payment of non-refundable tender documentation/printing fee. The 2% earnest money of the estimated cost of each tender in shape of “Deposit at Call” from any scheduled bank in the name of Executive Engineer, P.H.E. Division Gujranwala must be attached alongwith tender document; failing which tender will be cancelled automatically. The tender documents will be issued up 10-05-2017 during office hours and will be received on 11-05-2017 at 1.30 P.M. & opened at 2.00 P.M. in office of the undersigned in the presence of the intending firms or their authorized representative. The conditional/telegraphic tender or tender by post will not be entertained. If any contractor quoted his rates more than 5% below the approved items rates, they shall have to deposit additional performance security equal to the amount of less quoted rates as required under Finance Department letter No.RO(Tech.)FD-12/83/(IV) (P) dated 6.4.2005. To reduce spread of water borne diseases. STRATEGIC INTERVENTIONS Special focus on need based interventions in water supply & sanitation sector. Effective measures have been taken to serve Southern Punjab. Maximum allocation is for on-going programme for timely completion of on-going schemes to avoid the cost overrun. Ensuring priority in resource distribution for sanitation sector.     WATER SUPPLY & SANITATION VISION Provision of adequate, safe drinking water and sanitation facilities to the entire rural and urban communities of Punjab through equitable, efficient and sustainable services. WATER & SANITATION POLICY • Government of the Punjab aims to provide safe drinking water of an adequate quantity at an affordable cost through equitable, efficient and sustainable services to all citizens (Drinking Water Policy Approved in May, 2011). • The goal of the provincial sanitation policy is to ensure that the entire population of Punjab has access to safe and affordable sanitation for a quality life. (Punjab Sanitation Policy has been formulated recognizing the significance of sanitation which is under approval). OBJECTIVES To improve socio economic condition To improve health and nutrition outcome To raise living standard of the community by providing quality drinking water and improved sanitation services. To reduce spread of water borne diseases. STRATEGIC INTERVENTIONS Special focus on need based interventions in water supply & sanitation sector. Effective measures have been taken to serve Southern Punjab. Maximum allocation is for on-going programme for timely completion of on-going schemes to avoid the cost overrun. Ensuring priority in resource distribution for sanitation sector. Ensuring regional equity (North & South Punjab) in the developmental portfolio. 145 Ensuring water quality under Saaf Pani Initiative. 415 Water Supply Schemes (75 Urban and 340 Rural) are being executed by allocating funds of Rs. 4,575.387 million. 810 Sanitation schemes (160 Urban and 650 Rural) are being executed for which funds of Rs. 9,793.525 million are allocated. 19 Punjab based scheme are being executed for which funds of Rs.
