Farmington, Utah www.farmington.utah.gov July 2021 Page 4 For many residents, having a high school within the city is a dream come true. Farmington High School Phoenix became a reality in 2018. From the beginning, the Phoenix have proven to be strong, smart and powerful. Last year, Covid 19 put a strain on well-established patterns of education in Davis School District and schools throughout the nation. Students, teachers and administrators struggled to find the best balance between safety and learning. It was a hard year and many experienced setbacks. But as vice principal Merci Rossmango says, "Our students persevered and accomplished their goals despite a year of change and uncertainty. Like the Phoenix, they rose from the ashes." FHS is a prominent source of pride for Farmington, and accolades are in order. We hope you enjoy learning about accomplishments by FHS individuals and teams who are shining with success and excellence. And they're just getting started . . .
