LSU FOOTBALL POSTGAME NOTES #10/9 LSU at Arkansas Nov. 10, 2018—Razorback Stadium (Fayetteville, Ark.)

Team Notes 1. The LSU Captains were RB Nick Brossette, QB Andre Sale, CB Greedy Willims and S Todd Harris Jr. 2. LSU won the toss and deferred its decision to the second half. The Tigers kicked off, defending the north end zone in the first quarter. 3. At the time of kickoff, it was 37 degrees, which is tied for fifth‐lowest kickoff temperature since 1965. 4. With the 24‐17 win, LSU improves to 8‐2, 5‐2 SEC. a. LSU has recorded 19‐straight eight‐win seasons. b. LSU has now won three‐straight and six of its last eight against Arkansas. i. LSU has taken the boot home 15 times: 1996, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2017 and 2018. c. LSU has not lost back‐to‐back games since dropping three‐straight in November 2015. 5. Head Coach is now 24‐8 at the helm. a. He now has a 39‐35 overall record. i. He is 3‐0 against Arkansas at LSU and 3‐3 all‐time versus the Razorbacks. ii. LSU is 18‐8 as a Top 25 team under Coach O. b. In his last 39 games as a head coach, Orgeron has a 29‐10 mark, a stretch that includes a 6‐2 record with Southern Cal in 2013. c. LSU is 8‐0 in games following a loss under Coach O. d. LSU has won 20 straight SEC games when reaching the 20‐point mark, a stretch that dates back to the 2014 season. i. LSU is 13‐0 in SEC games under Coach O when scoring 20 points. 6. LSU recorded 164 rushing yards and held Arkansas to 16 yards rushing. a. LSU is 77‐0 when rushing for 100 yards and holding opponents to less than 100 yards. 7. LSU’s scoring drive in the second quarter, which resulted in a Nick Brossette touchdown took 7:24 off of the clock. a. It was the longest by time since Nov. 28, 2015 vs. Texas A&M (8:05). b. The drive consisted of 13 rushes and one pass. 8. LSU recorded 12 pass breakups, the most in a game since LSU had 11 against Auburn in 2017. 9. LSU’s Kary Vincent Jr. recorded an interception in the fourth quarter, marking the 12th‐straight game that the Tigers have recorded a pick, dating back to the 2017 season (including the bowl game). 10. S JaCoby Stevens made his second career start. Tonight’s start was in place of injured S John Battle.

Individual Offense 1. QB is now 8‐2 as LSU’s starting quarterback. He finished the night 15‐of‐21 passing for 195 yards and one touchdown. a. Burrow connected with WR for a 40‐yard touchdown, his seventh passing touchdown of the season, with 7:32 left in the first quarter. 2. WR Justin Jefferson tied his career‐high with six receptions and set a career‐best with 117 receiving yards. a. His previous high was 108 yards, which he recorded against Georgia. b. On his fifth grab of the night, the sophomore went over 100 yards for the second time this season and of his career. 3. RB Nick Brossette rushed for 90 yards on 23 attempts and had one touchdown. a. With 5:24 left in the second quarter and the help of his offensive line, the senior ran into the end zone for a 12‐yard score, his 11th touchdown of the season. 4. RB Clyde Edwards‐Helaire recorded 56 yards on 17 attempts and had one touchdown. a. The sophomore ran for his sixth touchdown of the season on a 13‐yard run with 9:47 left in the third quarter.

Defense 1. DB Kary Vincent Jr. had three tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, one interception and two pass breakups. a. The sophomore recorded his first career sack, dropping Arkansas QB Ty Storey for a loss of 8 yards. b. With 9:51 left in the game, Vincent Jr. recorded his second career pick and first pick of the season. 2. S led the Tiger defense with six tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss and two pass breakups. a. On the first drive of the second half with 12:30 left on the clock, Delpit sacked Storey for a loss of 8 yards. i. It was his fifth sack of the season. He now has 5.0 career sacks for 44 yards. b. Delpit recorded his first career fumble recovery on with 0:31 left in the second quarter. 3. LB recorded four tackles, one quarterback hurry and one forced fumble. a. With 0:31 left in the second quarter, Divinity knocked the football loose from Storey, marking his first career forced fumble. 4. DE Glen Logan had two tackles and one sack. a. Logan recorded his second sack of the season dropping Storey for a loss of 9 on 4th down with 6:03 left in the third quarter.

Special Teams 1. K Cole Tracy was 1‐for‐1 on the night and 3‐for‐3 on PATs. He is now 22‐of‐25 as the Tigers’ kicker and 27‐of‐27 from PATs. a. The graduate transfer converted on a 40‐yarder with 3:12 left in the third quarter to bring LSU to the 24‐ 3 lead. 2. P punted five times for 216 yards, averaging 43.2 yards per punt with a long punt of 48 yards. 3. P Josh Growden punted twice for 66 yards, averaging 33.0 yards per punt, pinning Arkansas inside of its 20 with both punts.
