Notes for BENJAMIN TOWNDROW: The following information was provided by John Piers Towndrow of Southampton, England (1998) Yeoman of Hay, Ashover. His will dated 17 June 1753, Proved 29 June 1753, buried 21 June 1753. In 1733 Possibly a church warden. 17 June 1753 his will left John the eldest son, land at Bigging within the manour of Doefield, and to William third son, equally by division and not joint tenancy. House at Hay (where Benjamin lived) to 2nd son Richard together with Malthouse and lands attached. Mayling House or Farm at North Wingfield to Joseph 4th son All lands at Highoredish to Samuel 5th son. All lands at Wooley (parish of Morton) to Thomas - youngest son.
