Jack was the first actor outside of New York to play the role of Matt in the classic musical The Fantasticks and later distinguished himself as one of Birmingham’s finest actors as John Adams in two stellar productions of1776 . His directorial skills and keen eye for casting was evident in numerous VST shows including Annie Get Your Gun, Damn Yankees, The Music Man, CHICAGO, Hello, Dolly and most recently, SCROOGE the Musical. He was one of the founders of The Little Theatre Players and was one of the original cast members of the Wits Other End cabaret theatre troupe. For the past several years, Jack had devoted his time to developing and nurturing the VST’s STARS arts education program which continues to be a beacon for young theatre talent in Birmingham. Man of La Mancha was one of Jack’s most favorite shows. Deep in December, our hearts should remember and follow. (from “Try to Remember” from The Fantasticks) 312 shouts of “bravo”
