The race starts outside , Brook Street, Tonbridge TN9 2PH at 10.00. Parking will be available in the grounds of in Brook Street. The venue is a three minute walk from Tonbridge Station.

The race includes:  an accurately measured course with partial road closures  a finisher’s medal and goody bag  water stations and toilet facilities on the course  changing and supervised bag storage  electronic timing – timing chips must be returned after the race

Entry

The race is open to runners of all abilities over the age of 17 years. We regret that the course is not suitable for wheelchair athletes. Runners are not allowed to compete with dogs or buggies. Only one individual prize can be won by any one runner. For the team competition, teams must comprise fully paid up members of the same club. Best three times to score.

The Race Director has taken advice that, in line with current UKA and BARR recommendations on health and safety, iPods and MP3 Players should not be worn whilst racing.

The entry fee is £18 for affiliated club members and £20 for non-affiliated runners, both for online and postal entries.

Postal entries should be received by Wednesday 21st September 2011. For entries received after this, the race packs should be collected on the day of the race from Race HQ.

On-line entries will be accepted up to midday on Friday 23rd September 2011. For on-line entries received after Wednesday 21st September 2011, the race packs should be collected on the day of the race from Race HQ.

No entries can be accepted on the day. Race packs will start to be sent out up to two weeks before the race. Please complete the relevant medical details on the back of the race number.

Terms and Conditions

I wish to enter the Tonbridge Half Marathon organised jointly by the Rotary Club of Tonbridge, Tonbridge Lions and Tonbridge Athletics Club (the Organisers) and declare that I am or will be aged 17 or over on the day of the race and that, if I am aged less than 18 when I apply, my parent/carer has approved and countersigned my application. I am an amateur as defined by UK Athletics and will abide by their rules. I understand that participating in this event is potentially hazardous, and that I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. I declare that I will not participate in the race if not (as far as I am aware) medically fit to run a half marathon on the day. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I assume full and complete responsibility for any injury or accident which may occur while I am travelling to or from the event, during the event, or while I am on the premises of the event. I also am aware of and assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, effect of weather, traffic, and conditions of the road. I, for myself and my heirs and executors, hereby waive, release and forever discharge the event Organisers, sponsors, promoters, and each of their agents, representatives, successors and assigns, and all other persons associated with the event, for all my liabilities, claims, actions, or damages that I may have against them arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in this event. I understand that this waiver includes any claims, whether caused by negligence, the action or inaction of any of the above parties, or otherwise. I understand that my personal data supplied to the Organisers may be passed to the race chip providers and the race photographers, but, except in a case of medical or other emergency, not to other third parties. I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the above parties to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, website images, recordings or any other record of this event. In the case of abandonment or cancellation of the race by reason of unusually bad weather, the impossibility or danger of allowing the race to proceed, compliance with legal, police, or other public authority requirements or advice, or other exceptional circumstances outside the control of the Organisers and /or considered by the Race Director or Race Referee in their sole discretion to be sufficient, I will not be entitled to the return of my entry fee or any refund. I understand that any net profit made by the race is passed on to charity. I understand that the race takes place on public roads and that only partial road closures apply. I shall obey the instructions of police officers and marshals, but I understand that marshals can only advise motorists and do not have powers to stop or direct traffic. I will at all times exercise all reasonable road sense and caution, and use footpaths where appropriate. I expect to complete the course in less than four hours. I understand that there is no official cut-off time but that road closures will be lifted, and marshals will leave their posts, at times reflecting a maximum finishing time of three hours from the start time. I understand that the course is hilly and not suitable for wheelchair athletes, and that no dogs or buggies are allowed. I will, unless I unsubscribe, be emailed periodic updates concerning the race which contain useful information which I understand it is recommended I read. These will also be posted on the official website. By completing and signing the entry form overleaf, I confirm that I have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
