SERIES WITH THE HUSKIES: Washington leads 161-90, but the Cougars claimed their only Pacific-10 win this season (81-79) Jan. 31 in Pullman.

COUGARS IN THE PAC-10 RANKINGS: Sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.) leads the Pacific- 10 Conference with 2.08 steals per game…he is fourth in assists (5.00 per game), eighth in scoring (16.5 points per game), ninth in assist/turnover ratio (1.51) and 10th in three-point field goals (1.76 per game)…junior Jerry McNair (Torrance, Calif.) is sixth in three-point field goals per game (2.16)…senior Mike Bush (Riverside, Calif.) is ninth in free throw percentage (.810)…senior J Locklier (Rock Hill, S.C.) is 14th in rebounding (6.1 per game).

BUSH REACHES MILESTONES: Senior Mike Bush (Riverside, Calif.) has scored 220 points this season to give him 1,052 in his career and place him 20th on the WSU all-time scoring list…he became the 23rd player in Washington State history to record 1,000 or more career points, Jan. 26 against Oregon…Bush needs 10 points to surpass Ed Gayda (1947-50) for 19th place…with one steal at Arizona (Feb. 9), Bush increased his career total to 148 and passed Bennie Seltzer (1990-93) into fourth on the WSU all-time list.

MOORE IS BETTER: Sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.) is averaging 5.00 assists per game which would tie him with Brad Jackson (1974) for the third best single season in WSU history…he has 52 steals this season and 92 in his career…he is tied with Isaac Fontaine (1995) and Terrence Lewis (1991-92) for 10th on the Cougar single season career lists, respectively…Moore’s 125 assists this season places him eighth on the WSU single season list and are two shy of Bennie Seltzer (1993) for seventh…he is on pace to finish in a tie for fifth with Craig Ehlo (1983) in single season assists…Moore is averaging 20.3 points per game in his last 10 outings.

GET THAT SHOT OUTTA HERE: With two blocks against Stanford, Feb. 16, junior Milton Riley (Gardena, Calif.) moved into eighth place on the WSU career list with 57.

LITTLE REMAINS INELIGIBLE: Washington State senior forward Framecio Little (Anderson, S.C.) remains ineligible due to his failure to meet NCAA academic requirements and will not play for the Cougars this season.

INJURY UPDATE: Junior guard Nick Graham (Stillwater, Okla.) had surgery on his right ankle Nov. 23 and will redshirt this season…Graham has begun light jogging and shooting drills…senior Mike Bush (Riverside, Calif.) suffered a sprained mid right foot in the California game (Feb. 14) and has missed the last three games.

KELATI’S EFFORT NOT ENOUGH IN LOSS TO BEAVERS: Freshman Thomas Kelati (Walla Walla, Wash.) scored a season-high 17 points and added eight rebounds in Washington State’s 91-55 loss at Oregon State, Feb. 23…the loss was the second worst to the Beavers in WSU history.

MOORE HAS ANOTHER GOOD OUTING IN LOSING CAUSE: Sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.) poured in 34 points, but Washington State was routed by No. 15 Oregon 115-77, Feb. 21 in Eugene…the 115 points given up were the second most by a Cougar team in WSU history.

MOORE’S EFFORT NOT ENOUGH IN LOSS TO CARDINAL: Sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.) poured in 29 points on 13-of-21 shooting, but the Cougars came up short in a 76-63 loss to No. 12 Stanford, Feb. 16.

POOR SHOOTING COSTS COUGARS AGAINST CALIFORNIA: Washington State shot just 33 percent, including 24 percent in the second half in a 77-56 loss to California, Feb. 14…senior Mike Bush (Riverside, Calif.) led the Cougars with 14 points and moved into 20th on the WSU all-time scoring list…sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.) scored 10 points and pulled down a team-high eight rebounds…the Cougars played without senior starting center J Locklier (Rock Hill, S.C.).

ARIZONA CONTINUES STREAK AGAINST COUGARS: Despite 23 points from senior Mike Bush (Riverside, Calif.) and a double-double (13 points, 12 rebounds) by senior J Locklier (Rock Hill, S.C.), Washington State lost 85-68 in Tucson (Feb. 9)…the loss was the 33rd straight to the Wildcats.

SUN DEVILS ROUT COUGARS: Arizona State defeated Washington State 96-45, Feb. 7, handing the Cougars the second worst loss in school history…the record is a 93-41 loss at No. 2 UCLA, Feb. 5, 1965…in the loss to Arizona State, senior J Locklier (Rock Hill, S.C.) scored 14 points, including a 10-for-10 effort from the foul line.

COUGARS END SKID AGAINST HUSKIES: The Cougars snapped a 10-game losing streak with an 81-79 victory over Washington, Jan. 31…sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.) led Washington State with 28 points while junior Jerry McNair (Gardena, Calif.) added 20.

WSU RALLY FALLS SHORT AGAINST OREGON: Sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.) tallied a career-high 35 points, but the Cougars could not overcome a 21-point second half deficit in a 94-86 loss to Oregon, Jan. 26.

COUGS LOSES HEARTBREAKER TO OREGON STATE: Oregon State’s Jimmie Haywood connected on a pair of free throws with 0.9 seconds left to give the Beavers a 74-72 victory at Friel Court, Jan. 24…Haywood tied the game with 6.2 ticks on the clock with a 1-for-2 effort from the line…sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.) led five Cougars in double figure scoring with 17 points.

CALIFORNIA RECAP: The Golden Bears remained undefeated at home with a 90-57 win over the Cougars, Jan. 19…the loss was the 10th straight for Washington State, which was led by 13 points from sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.)…freshman Shami Gill (Mission, British Columbia) was one of four Cougars in double figure scoring with a season-high 12.

STANFORD ROUTS WSU: Casey Jacobsen and Curtis Borchardt each tallied 15 points to lead No. 19 Stanford past Washington State 83-50, Jan. 17 at Maples Pavilion…senior J Locklier (Rock Hill, S.C.) scored 12 points and pulled down six rebounds, both tops among the Cougars…junior Jerry McNair (Torrance, Calif.) added 10 points and was the only other WSU player in double-figure scoring.

SUN DEVILS TOP COUGARS: Despite a school record 16-for-16 effort from the foul line by sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.), Washington State fell to 0-6 in the Pacific-10 with an 81-71 loss to Arizona State in Pullman, Jan. 12…Moore finished the game with a team-high 23 points and tied his season-high with a team-high eight rebounds.

COUGARS COME UP SHORT AGAINST WILDCATS: Senior J Locklier (Rock Hill, S.C.) recorded a career-high 27 points and a season-high 11 rebounds for his second career double-double in a 92-85 loss to Arizona, Jan. 10…senior Mike Bush (Riverside, Calif.) posted his seventh career double-double with 17 points and a season-high 11 rebounds…the 85 points were the most by the Cougars in a conference game since a 95-86 win over USC, Jan. 30, 1999.

UCLA OUTLASTS WSU: Billy Knight scored a career-high 32 points to lead the Bruins to an 81-69 victory over the Cougars, Jan. 6…the win improved UCLA’s mark against Washington State to 45-0 all-time in Los Angeles…senior Mike Bush (Riverside, Calif.) led the Cougars with 18 points despite battling the flu.

USC SHOOTS DOWN COUGARS: The Trojans shot 56 percent from the floor in an 85-64 win at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., Jan. 4…sophomore Marcus Moore returned to his hometown and led WSU with 15 points, five assists and three steals…junior Milton Riley (Gardena, Calif.) added 14 points and six rebounds off the bench for WSU.

MOORE IS NOT ENOUGH IN LOSS TO TROJANS: Sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.) recorded his second double-double of the season and the third of his career with 12 points and a career-high 11 assists, but WSU came out on the short end of a 78-63 loss to USC in Pullman, Dec. 29…USC freshman Errick Craven poured in a game-high 29 points while senior J Locklier (Rock Hill, S.C.) led the Cougars with 17 points…junior Jerry McNair (Torrance, Calif.) pulled down a career-high eight rebounds for WSU.

UCLA RALLIES PAST WSU: The No. 19 Bruins shot 68 percent in the second half and overcame an eight-point halftime deficit to pull out a 79-74 win in Pullman, Dec. 22…three Cougars scored in double figures, led by 17 from sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.)…Moore just missed a double-double as he dished out eight assists…WSU tied a school record by going 13-for-13 (1.000) from the foul line.

COUGARS FALL AT GONZAGA: Despite the first double-double in junior Milton Riley’s (Gardena, Calif.) career (10 points, career-high 11 rebounds), Washington State lost 67-44 at No. 25 Gonzaga, Dec. 15…the 44 points were the fewest by the Cougars in a nonconference game since a 50-40 loss at Idaho, Nov. 29, 1988…senior J Locklier (Rock Hill, S.C.) just missed a double-double with a nine rebounds and a team-high 13 points.

TEXAS DEFEATS WASHINGTON STATE: Led by Chris Owens’ 19 points, the Longhorns dropped the Cougars to 4-3 with a 79-52 win in Austin, Dec. 10…the loss was the worst nonconference defeat for the Cougars since No. 4 Michigan State, led by Magic Johnson, beat WSU 98-52, Dec. 27, 1978…junior Jerry McNair (Torrance, Calif.) led WSU with 14 points and freshman Thomas Kelati (Walla Walla) recorded his first double figure rebounding game with a game-high 10.

McNAIR HELPS WSU RALLY PAST TEXAS-PAN AMERICAN: Junior Jerry McNair (Torrance, Calif.) scored 20 of his team-high 26 points in the second half as the Cougars rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit to defeat Texas-Pan American, 70-67, Dec. 7…McNair hit three consecutive three-pointers late in the second half to give WSU the lead for good at 63-59…senior J Locklier (Rock Hill, S.C.) added 17 points and a game-high seven rebounds for the Cougars.

MOORE LEADS COUGS PAST VANDALS: Sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.) scored a career- high 31 points and added eight rebounds, five assists and five steals to lead Washington State to an 81-55 over Idaho, Dec. 4.

COUGARS KNOCK OFF ARKANSAS-PINE BLUFF: Sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.) recorded the second double-double of his career with 26 points and 10 assists, to lead WSU to a 91-75 win over the Golden Lions, Dec. 1 in Pullman…the 10 assists are a career high…senior J Locklier (Rock Hill, S.C.) scored 19 points for the second consecutive game to equal his career high.

COUGARS ROUT PRAIRIE VIEW A&M: Junior Jerry McNair (Torrance, Calif.) scored a game-high 22 points to lead WSU to a 103-55 blowout of the Panthers, Nov. 24 in Pullman…the Cougars tied a team school record with 17 steals led by sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.), who registered seven thefts, one shy of the school record.

WSU DROPS OPENER TO COLORADO STATE: Despite 17 points from junior Justin Lyman (Missouri City, Texas), WSU lost its season opener 79-75 to the Rams, Nov. 20 at the Spokane Arena…senior Mike Bush (Riverside, Calif.) scored 12 points off the bench for WSU just three days after playing wide receiver in the Apple Cup for the Cougar football team.
