Use of dynamic axle weighers:
Axle weighers cannot be used for trade purposes, i.e. cannot be used to find out the weight of your load for selling or buying purposes. They are used to establish the weight of individual axles and the train weight of vehicles for Road Traffic and other legal purposes.
Axle weighers are not like conventional weighbridges in that the weigh plate is smaller and vehicles are usually weighed as they drive across the plate (hence the term ‘dynamic’). If you need advice on using these facilities, please ring in advance if possible.
