Two men, Hal Bidlack as Alexander Hamilton Wand Clay S. Jenkinson as Thomas Jefferson, will bring their presentation, Hamilton with a Twist of Jefferson, to BIG ARTS on Thursday, March 30. The method of inquiry first developed at a Methodist Episcopal camp meeting in Chautauqua, New York in 1873, is updated to allow the audience to participate in a spirited discussion with figures from the past. This special evening is made possible by the sponsorship of Susen and James Berg and John and Linda Kramer. Susen Berg will introduce the program. In an interview with The Island Sun Bidlack describes the discussion we can expect, "There are three components; after a brief introduction by a scholar who gives a portrayal of the characters, the bulk of the program is answering questions on any subject or any time period as it relates to either Hamilton or Jefferson. We don't say anything that our characters would not have said. But in the third part, we take off our wigs and speak as ourselves. "These were real people with real passions; Hamilton believed people were basi- Hal Bidlack as Hamilton cally greedy and needed strong government; Jefferson thought people were good and Clay S.
