! South Yorkshire Centre Rally Brochure 2017! ! CHAIRLADY’S MESSAGE Welcome to our 2017 rally brochure. This is my first year as Chairlady, Simon and I would like to thank you all for the support and good wishes. We have been rallying for 20 years now and we and our children have enjoyed every year. Rallying is a great social encounter for everyone – young, old and the whole family. If you are new to rallying you will find us friendly and welcoming. South Yorkshire Centre keeps some fine traditions including our Centre Queen and our Carnival Floats of which we are truly proud. The Centre Queen is crowned at our May Day rally and we have three carnival rallies at which we enter a Queen’s float and a South Yorkshire Centre float. You will see in this brochure that we have a wide variety of rallies to offer and I thank all the marshals who work so hard to provide rallies for our enjoyment. I also thank the land owners, site managers and farmers who allow us to use their land and facilities. Please show consideration for their property by noting ‘out of bounds’ areas and follow the centre rally rules with regards to the Red Flag should it be raised. We have a strong and dedicated team of Committee this year and an enthusiastic Youth Committee - all are very keen to help the Centre move forward and continue growing from strength to strength and carry on being ‘simply the best’. Thank you to John Watson, our Rally Secretary, for putting together this brochure. It is difficult finding advertisers in this current climate so please do support them and always mention you have seen their advert in our brochure. Can I ask that you share your photos on our website as we need to keep it looking fresh and informative so that current and new ralliers can see what fun we have. Simply send them to our webmaster – the email address is on the website. May I also urge you to please be mindful of your speed on the rally field. Keep our children safe by keeping your speed to 5mph (walking pace). Finally, Simon and I wish you a safe tow at all times and we look forward to enjoying your company on the rally field soon. Best wishes.
