The city is a collection of diverse homes and while we’re focusing on small homes this semester, we are also thinking of homes in Chicago. We’d like for each of you to explore our city and its dwellings. We have a list of architecturally iconic and noteworthy houses for you to find and document.

3.3 B // Deliverables

• Find and visit as many houses as you can: a. Minimum is 3 houses b. More you find, the better your grade c. Additional points for visiting the inside of the house d. Additional points for visiting a house outside the City of Chicago (last four on list) • Uniquely document your visit through thoughtfully composed/framed photos; at least 2 photos per house a. Overall composition in context b. Highlight details of house • Description and experience a. Basic information: House name, architect, date built, location/address, size, material b. Date of your Visit c. Describe concept of house – 1 paragraph d. Describe your experience and what you thought was unique or interesting that you learned from your visit; OR create a Sketch of the house or a detail of the house while on site • Compile all in (1) 8.5” x 11” portrait PDF

NOTE: Top 3 house hunters with best documentation will be awarded a special prize.
