Cal. 9mm. 8" bbl with perforated bbl shroud. Windage drift adjustable front sight, flip- View up 2 position rear sight. Sling swivel under bbl shroud with corresponding swivel under rear of stock. Gun appears to have matching numbers. Full auto only open bolt mechanism. Magazine well on left side, accepts magazine from an 8 o' clock position. Sub machine gun is complete with a luger P-08 artillery pistol type drum magazine with MP18-I sub machine gun adapter. Leather sling is also included. PROVENANCE: Stern Collection. CONDITION: Very good. Exposed metal retains a fair amount of orig finish. Bore is bright and shiny with deep rifling. Open bolt mechanism functions well when cycled by hand. Open bolt mechanism functions smooth and correct when cycled by hand. Very clean specimen including eagle and 3 stars in square crest above company name on magazine well. Although completely functional and registered as original transferable machine gun, it may have been rendered inoperable at one time to be repaired later. Evidenced by spot of removed weld between receiver and barrel cap. Collapsible stock works smooth and tight. Spiked bayonet is in very fine condition in relation to both finish and integrity. Resin 2-pc pistol grip. View Wooden butt stock. Complete with extra bbl chambered in 7.62 NATO(.308), "spiderweb" aircraft front sight and rear sight. Bipod at front under bbl shroud, and leather sling is also included. PROVENANCE: Stern Collection. CONDITION: Fine. This is one of the most desirable German LMG's from the WWII era. Overall condition combined with interesting accessories make this a great find. Pistol grips are both in very fine condition. Butt stock shows typical gouging from armory handling. The MP38 was the first developed sub machine gun developed for the German army since View the MP18I of WWI. The MP38 was made from 1938-1940 at the Erma plant. All numbers appear to be matching. Threaded muzzle protector. Drift windage adjustable hooded front sight. Two position notch rear sight w/ 100 meter and 200 meter settings. Heat transfer bar on the bbl. Deep fluted receiver. Black plastic receiver housing w/ black plastic grips. Milled main spring tube. Wire skeletal under-folding stock. Nazi national eagle proof on several parts. PROVENANCE: Stern Collection. CONDITION: Currently unserviceable. Although paperwork describes firearm as a transferable machine gun at some point it was rendered unserviceable by plugging the bore. Everything else appears to be functioning correctly and in orig condition. Select fire, fire control mechanism functions smoothly and correctly in all positions. Cal. 7.62mm NATO(308) Gun appears so clean that it's possible it's unfired. There are no obvious marks in feed mechanism or in action View indicating any use at all. All exposed metal is parkerized. Gun is in condition as it left the factory. Bbl includes flash hider, front sight, and bipod. Factory ladder sight. Black plastic furniture including forend, pistol grip, and butt stock. An excellent find in like new, if not new condition. Complete with spare bbl in factory bbl bag. PROVENANCE: Stern Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus. Possible that this M60 has not been used other than being test fired. Very little wear anywhere inside and out.     The Mauser Parabellum and it’s test firing ammunition. Ammunition and ballistics, the basis of the existence of our club community, play an important role in the development of firearms that will eventually be used to fire that ammunition. That a round, even a standard round like the 9x19mm Parabellum and it’s forbearer the .30 Luger, known world wide, will not surrender itself without a struggle is shown in documents from the Mauser archives. At the end of the 1960s entrepreneurs saw several new markets for and old, classic pistol design: The Parabellum (or Luger) pistol. In the 1950s and 1960s the American consumer market was flooded with cheap military surplus firearms from Europe, annoying the major American arms produces. They feared that these importing activities would have negative effects on their own proceeds and they demanded that legislation to end the import of surplus military firearms was accepted. Interarms, one of the largest importers and distributors of surplus military firearms knew this all too well and decided not to wait for changes in legislation (which were passed in 1969). As early as in 1965, Interarms was in contact with companies like Carl Walther GmbH, Mauser-Werke AG in Germany and the Eidgn. Waffenfabrik in Bern, Switzerland. Discussed was the possibility to reproduce classic sales successes like the Walther P38, PP/K, the Mauser C96, K98, HSc and the Parabellum pistol, if needed even in the USA itself. The American import legislation influenced used guns, not new ones. After long negotiations, Mauser was prepared to take up the challenge and late 1969 the new Parabellum pistol was presented to the general public.
